Nice seeing you taking predetermined and thought out steps by adding performance bolt on's like the Super charger and pulley change along with your body mods keeping the Mach 1 a Mach 1. It's getting faster and still beautiful. Nice job Zander building your special Mustang.

Still amazing to me how much boost those coyotes can handle stock. I wish Chevy had put forged internals in all their Camaros. No matter the stock LS block will only handle about 750. Wonder how long the motor will last at that boost level.

Nice man, 1 part at a time I was there. So just for reference if you remember my setup. I'm at 870WHP with the 105mm pulley and stainless works headers. So you're in the 800s definitely. Anyway, pulley down and get headers and you might be close to 900 like mine. Killer video and set up bro

You must have sleeved block, built motor(oil pump, crank, pistons, rods) to push 800 wheel/925 crank, in any 5.0. It won't last long at all.
@Sabotfit5oh
@Sabotfit5oh 8 ай бұрын
@MasterCarguy44-pk2dq stock coyote block can handle a lot more than you're giving it credit for. I do have oil pump gears and crank sprocket yes. Plus a fully built transmission. Otherwise stock motor. I've been boosted for over 3 years and still going strong. I don't 1/4 mile drag my car. It's more of a street car, show car and weekend fun. Not beating the hell out of it.

@MasterCarguy44-pk2dq 8 ай бұрын
@@Sabotfit5oh No it can't. I have only work with the actual engineers/architects of these engines since 2008 abs SVO group which was renamed SVT. The max limit of block is around 980 hp crank. You MIGHT be lucky to get 5 full power runs at 980 crank hp/850 wheel but thats about it. 750 crank/650 wheel is the true safe range..

Awesome car, but personally can`t believe someone would have a blower and not headers. You can always just buy catted headers and gut the cats out. A friend of mine ran catted headers for years then decided to procharger his 5.0L. The shop that did his install and tune gutted the cats out.

Would an exhaust shop be able to make you test pipes? that way you only replace the catalytic section and you can keep the stock headers in there.

Just add fuel to lower cat temps..no reason it can’t be safely done. Most people run too lean anyway. E85 had a cooling effect anyway..you can monitor cat temps in a log but they are inferred so take them with a grain. And you need to look at long terms..short terms will almost always be perfect because of the long terms

Did the TR3160 in the Mach 1 handle all the power mods without an issue? I've heard some concerns the 3160 may not be up to the task of boosted cars long term. Thinking about an ESS or Whipple for my Mach 1 eventually, but really not looking to built or swap the trans as well.

After watching all of his videos I decided to go with ESS as well on my Mach 1. Just because the Mach 1 is more of a handling car I feel like the ESS system will feel better than just blowing the tires off at every light lol Whipples and stuff are hella fun but I just personally feel like a centrifugal could be more beneficial
@177SCmaro
@177SCmaro 2 жыл бұрын
Compared to a Screw type blower a Centrifugal superchargers tend to produce "peaky" torque curves which can be advantageous on the street as too much low end torque can overwhelm the tires and make the car dangerous for the street. They also tend to produce slightly more power per psi of boost. A screw type makes power virtually as soon as the throttle is open, basically just acts like an all around bigger engine. Both work incredibly well, it just depends what you want. Turbo(s), btw, are the most efficient way to go but the most complex and takes up the most space. There's also some degree of lag to deal with. I run a single big turbo for drag racing, I seldom drive on the street.

Centrifugal you keep most of your car in tact. Slap an intake and the right belt you’re back to stock.

The TR3160 is technically caoabke of slightly more power than the old MT82. Its not worth it. 700 crank hp would be about max fir TR3160,. 700 crank is about 640 wheel.
