Recently, President Mnangagwa announced that he will not be seeking a third or an extension of his term in office beyond 2028. Now as the debate on the ruling ZANU PF's Succession Plan rages on, ZANU PF Spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa joins NRTV's Political Reporter PJ Nagoli on this week's special edition of The Trove.
The two engage in an in-depth conversation ranging from ZANU PF's Succession Plan, African Liberation Movements to the upcoming 44th SADC Summit set for this August.

These are the signs of a growing economy in Zimbabwe un employment over 85%. The rich ballooning, poverty at over 75%. Children can't go to school. Hospitals no free health care and free medication. Resources benefiting corrupt people. That is what they regard as success and empowering of people.

Widespread election violence that defined the 1980 "elections" dented ZImbabwe's chance at squarely dealing a blow to the undemocratic cultures, which would have ushered in democratic cultures and democractic accountability. We lost our footing and the fundamentals 44 years ago.

Good question! Most interviews are done in Harare, so the process is a bit biased towards Harare residents. This means there's a big chance for podcasters and journalists to check out other regions, since there's a larger audience. You could even start your own show to explore these areas!

Even the late Mugabe admitted that he lost to Tsvangirai let me hand power to him during the coup. This means ZANU PF once lost the election and forced themselves into office. They denied the will of the people.

Mutswangwa is living in a fairy land. He is obviously one of the few beneficiaries of Mnangagwa power. Zimbabwe is dead economically. There is no achievement by ZANU PF. In a free and fair election ZANU PF will exit. Come on its evident there is no economy to talk about in Zimbabwe with Zimbabweans as economic refugees in every country in the world.

This Zanu guy is spewing balderdash. Zanu are minions in terms of armed struggled credentials. The British chose Zanu to be the government, instead of Zapu. Zapu enjoyed the popular mandate but the British overturned that, and handed over the political power to Zanu. Remember, during the Lancaster arrangement Britain was still in charge of Rhodesia. That is why the talks were taken to the seat of the colonisers, that is Lancaster. Ours here in South Africa was decided by us, including the venue and participants.

Your talks were not for the purposes of ending a war, neither were they conducted in a pre colonial Africa. You had gone for the elections and the ANC had already won.
