One of the best Zaouli dancers I've seen, what moves, wow! Buttery glide on his bare toes in gravely dirt. Incredibly elegant foot moves, just wow!!! I love this dance. Can't get enough of it. It imitates wildlife, birds, and animals with those leg moves. Just mind blowing. You better have strong arches for this dance.

I swear, people in the third world can do any unremarkable thing and people in the west start salivating at their mouths to show how cultured they are by praising it endlessly . Yet, most of the truly incredible things accomplished by our own people and our ancestors get derided, deconstructed, and overlooked. The feet are impressive, but the biggest thing I see is the upper body isolation. Maintaining an isolation like that when the feet are going crazy is insanely difficult. I've been a dancer for 16 years, and isolations are one of the hardest skills to master. It isn't just a matter of "keeping one thing still". The only part of your body that is trivial to keep still is your feet. Above that, if you're taking steps, the difficulty is to have one movement cancel out another. Think about hip isolation. Without doing anything fancy, anyone can rock their weight from one foot to another. To make it an isolation, you have to bend your spine to neutralize the hip movement so your rib cage stays in place. You essentially have to figure out how much articulation of multiple vertebrae will offset movement generated by the knees. He's bouncing his butt up and down, which means he has to bend his spine in time with the bounce created by his legs and ankles. He's essentially twerking while also doing something akin to a Charleston or shuffle dance with his feet. Crazy.

Nah.. Michael's black panther dance steps are way more complicated and fast... This can be done with good leg strength..... The choreography isn't complicated.. Its just about physical strength.. The black panther sequences are about both physicality and way complicated feet movements..... I mean with practice I can imagine being able to do something close to this dance.. But that black panther feet movements, I can't even do those in my imagination

This guy invented the moon walk, that demonstration you just saw is thousands of years old in culture and practice, it's an African masquerade dance that represents benevolent spirits, the performance is said to bring good fortunes to the communities in which it is performed. They literally have a cult which the dancers and drummers belong to, passing their ancient secrets from generation to generation, Amy thing you see Micheal doing was just an expression of the Africa DNA within him.

Couple of interesting things I noticed. At one point, he turns one of his feet upside down, "resting" on the tops of his toes. I suspect that this demonstrates that there is no actual weight on that leg at all, as it should be impossible to do that. Similarly when the foot is sweeping dust, and the other foot is taking the dancers entire weight, while bouncing at the same time.

It shouldn't be a surprise because Civilization ,Humanity and all elements of civilization come from Africa. Particularly many asiatics and Indians of America have a culture and spirituality so close to Africa because all originate from Africa. Africans are the original people of the planet. They then migrated to people the globe. From different migrations to coldest ereas, some adapted to the cold and mutated to pale people or Caucasians. The mix of mix between original and mutated people later produce different type of people we have in the world today.
