The tricky part about translating is that the sounds aren't backwards. She says the backwards words as if they're normal words. Example: "Levitate" backwards is "etativel", but the normally silent e in levitate is spoken as "ee" (the long vowel sound).

I wouldn't say weak, but rather... inexperienced... zatara had every right to be overprotective of her since she was still an inexperienced novice to the dangers of the outside world. isn't that the reason why he was against her joining the team in the first place? letting one's overconfidence in their abilities will be the biggest downfalls in letting your guard down and the enemies getting the upper hand on you.

I don't think the season was as good as it took away focus from the main 8 characters, made them all, except Superboy, Zatanna and Rocket, contradicting of who they were suddenly without more character development, and it was only 20 episodes vs 26. It took away the magic (no pun intended) that I loved from season 1.

I prefer Season 1 over Season 2. I’m the kind of guy who’s more into personal hardships than high stake ones. Personal keeps the story more grounded and relatable, in my opinion. Though, with Darkseid’s reveal in Season 2, I’m sure the stakes would be even higher in Season 3. Edit: More heroes would also mean that the story would have more characters to deal with and/or focus on.
