Zatch bell will always have a very special place in my heart. I was in 5th grade, when it used to come on sonic. It was a perfect combination of emotions, action, comedy, coolness, strategy, intelligence and good values. It makes me cry when I think about those days. My fav character was Kiyo Takamine with whom I could relate to a lot. I wanted to be as smart as him. Zatch is really a kind king and is blessed to have a nice and smart bookkeeper and friend.

It was airing on Sonic at 6.Those were the Golden Days!😊 Noone can compare with the shows(cartoon)during 2012 to 2016.Its sad 😔 that these days there are not that good cartoons.Only Indian shows are airing which should be good but really anime are better than today's cartoons airing on TV.

I recommend reading the manga. The anime deviates a lot from the manga, and changes the fight against Zeon/Zeno to end the anime early. The Makoto Raiku broke his hand when he was making the Faudo Arc, but Toei didn't want to wait. Spoilers are passed here. In the manga Kiyomaro dies fighting Riou/Leo and is revived by Faudo's body fluids. Coming back to life gave him the same ability as Zeon's partner Dufaux; this ability is "Answer Talker". Waking up to this ability gives the user the ability to correctly guess and learn anything they might need to help them provided they are given the stimuli to learn the answer. Kiyomaro discovers the rest of Gash/Zatch's spells. Gash has around 15 by the end of the manga. Gash and Zeon's relationship is also different with Gash's Baou Zakeruga devouring Zeon's hate for Gash. Zeon returns Gash's memories and gives Gash his own power. Gash's mantle is also the same as Zeon's in that he can manipulate freely, Gash just didn't know how. Zeon came in 12th place in the manga, and the final villain is revealed going by the name Clear Note. Clear Note's magic is "Annihilation". Gash and his friends train for a few months as Clear Note was weakened from a fight. After some events Clear is in 3rd place, and is beaten by Gash with the help of the Demons from Demon World, we even see anime only Demons and learn about some spells the other demons didn't get a chance to learn. After beating Clear Note Brago and Gash are the only 2 left and decide to meet in 3 months so that Gash can be there to watch Kiyomaro's graduation from Junior High School. The final results is Gash winning and becoming King.

I had watched this show in sonic 4 yrs ago. The episodes shown by sonic lured me to watch the entire series. Plus I read manga as well. This was my 2nd anime after Idaten jump which I finished. It is one of my best anime so far. For those who haven't watched this show, believe me it is a mixture of emotions where you will die laughing at certain scenes whereas at some points you couldn't stop crying. Thanks a lot raja. I didn't know that there was a movie based on this series and the writer made the sequel of manga. Fun fact: There is a discussion about Fermat's last theorem in it's one episode. Math lovers will get it.

Zatchbell is my favourite anime of all time so sad the anime never had a perfect ending like the manga coz anime completed before manga and that's why the anime creators didn't know the ending of the story and clear note arc is missing in the anime that's why I read the manga and it is one of the best masterpiece I ever read can't wait for part 2 of zatchbell.
