interesting talk ghamidi sahib. enjoyed listening. if i may, by your leave, make a few comments on the content. asked about the reason for man's quest for meaning, you say curiosity is one of those inborn senses which distinguish man from animals. this could not be further from the truth. curiosity plays a crucial role in a young animal's development, as is evident when watching them at play. it is how they learn about the world in which they are expected to survive. curiosity is a survival mechanism given to all intelligent animals by nature. the second difference you mention between man and animal is morality. again, animal studies show without a doubt the existence of moral behavior amongst animals. and again, morality too seems to confer obvious survival benefit for a species. the difference between man and animal is that in mankind these characteristics have become more advanced and complex, thanks to the further development of intelligence. it is this more advanced form of intelligence that distinguishes man from animal, and compels us to ask complex intellectual questions such as "does life have any meaning", and to develop all the various theories and models to answer them. the evolutionary model suggests that man's abilities evolved gradually over millennia. nonetheless, regardless of the origins of our species, our abilities seem to compel us to ask the complex questions you enumerate.

SOME IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES FOR UNDERSTANDING ISLAM (derived from Javed Ahmed Ghamidi and Hasan Ilyas Videos 1)Religions, Prophets and Holy Books are for the purpose of Purification of people in terms of their body, their food and their morality of interactions with other people. It is not for the purpose of making someone Doctor, Engineer or Lawyer. 2)There are two primary sources of Islam. Quran and Sunnah. Quran is a Book of God. Sunnah is Directions of God in the Shape of Actions which is implemented and shown by Prophets. Hadith is a secondary source and has to be understood in the light of Quran and Sunnah. 3)Quran and Sunnah transfer to people through Ijmah and Tawatur. There are very large number of people who have listened to Quran from Holy Prophet (SAW) and seen Holy Prophet (SAW) implementing the Sunnah. These large number of people transfer these directions to other large number of people and so on and so forth it is continously being transferred without any disconnect of the chain. This is almost impossible that this large number of people can be gathered on a lie or a lie can be included through this chain of transfer. 4)Hadith is collected through Akhbar e Ahad (Prophet SAW has conveyed it to one or few persons). Prophet has the duty to Convey Allah Message to Every People exist. Prophet cannot give that Primary message to few people. Therefore, Hadith only contains details of the Primary Message. No new message can be there in hadith against which source does not exist in Quran. 5)There are Principles of Understanding of Hadith such as Chain of Narratives, Moral values and Recalling Capacity of the Narrator, Must be according to the established principles of intellect and must be in consensus with Quran. Inspite of that there is always chances exist that Hadith written in the books is not a complete statement of Holy Prophet and also sometimes it is difficult to understand the occassion and context of the hadith. 6) Established principle of Knowledge or Intellect is never mentioned in book it is always predefined and obvious. Otherwise, the book or Quran will be in many volumes. 7)The Directions of God has to be understood in relation to its Context, Occassion and Purpose. Since, meaning varies due to context, occasions and purpose. Also, sometimes certain directions of God are applicable on certain people. 8)Quran is divided in Mutashabihaat and Muhakimat. Donot try to go in depth of Mutashabihaat because we don't have any medium or capacity to understand fully the meaning of these things. Examples are What is Spirit, How is Heaven and Hell. 9)Muhakimmat is defined in the ordinary sense of Arabic. No meaning should be associated with it which is not used in ordinary sense in the Arabic. The purpose of Muhakimat is to comply with it and no ambiguities can be afforded in it. 10)Not all Directions of Quran is forever. There are abrogated verses as well. 11) There are certain directions of God Sad e Zariya which is for the purpose of stopping people from Sin. These directions can be deviated if not obeying them cannot become the reason of any sin due to change in circumstances. 12)A Direction of the God is sometimes a principle which need to be derived by going into the root of the direction. So you need to extend the applicability of that directions. 13) A Language comprises of Words, Sentence Structure or Arrangement of Words and the Sequence of Sentences. Translation of language cannot translate fully the way a sentence is conveyed originally. Also, putting translated words below the original words in a translation is not a good approach for translation, since, it very often disturb the original meaning and way of conveying the message. 14)Quran only discusses things which needs clarification. It does not discusses things which is obvious for mankind. Otherwise, this book will be in many volumes. 15)Magnitude of Sins and Virtues are dependent on Situation when it is occurred and the ability of the Doer. 16) For occurring of a Sin and Virtue it is prerequisite that a moral test is there. 17)Everyone will only get virtue and sin against his own moral tests or duties which religion has placed upon him. Nobody can get virtue or sin of others. 18) There is a difference between a mistake and a Sin. Sin must have some intention. 19)Negligence can also be a sin. If anybody commit something wrong without intention at the time being but he did not take any measure in the past for stopping that wrong action then this action comes under Sin. 20)Sin is committed only when the person trying to commit, do minimum steps required to commit a wrong action whether the wrong action happened or not due to action of some other person or due to other factors beyond perpetrators control. 21) Virtue may compensate Sin on the day of Judgment. However, decision in this regard will be taken by Allah on the day of Judgment. 22) Haququl Allah and Haqul Ibad are two different things. Sin against Haququl Ibad can only be forgiven when Allah and the person both forgive. 23) When you have a questions or ambiguities in relation to religion it is your duty to seek clarification from appropriate person.
