I think it depends on what you had first Canes or Zaxby’s (I’ve had both). They are mirror images of each other. Neither seasons their chicken, both have crinkle cut fries, the sauce carries the chicken like a camel in the desert, and toasted bread. I say Zaxby’s is superior due to having seasoned fries.

i used to work at raising canes, they add no seasoning to anything, so they depend on the sauce a lot, so i think if anything right there has no seasoning it’s most likely just like canes.

I love Zaxby’s. They would give you WAY more than what you ordered which I why I loved them so much. It’s my go-to guilty pleasure but in the more recent years, they have skimped on their portion sizes, kind of changed the recipe to the chicken and stopped seasoning their fries. One of Cane's highest praises is consistency. In my experience it's almost identical location to location. Many other places, Chicken express, zaxbys, popeyes etc. vary widely by location and you never know what you're gonna get.

As a person who lived in Georgia and Illinois, I can say Zaxbys has way better bread. I throw canes shelter roll away every time. Zaxbys over seasoned fries are 10x better than canes, salty slim fries. The sauce is literally the same. The chicken at canes is overpriced af compared to zaxbys. He said Zaxbys chicken is "juicy" canes chicken dry af. and you can get way more at Zaxbys than canes. The canes in Illinois be booming. I will say that the lines be long af for no reason. The salads at Zaxbys hit every time. My favorite things are the wings and things. Btw, dude said canes Texas toast is better, mf canes don't." They got toast they got dough rolls, Zaxbys better, and all in all.
