The MOST important tool when it comes to controlling precise movement in ZBrush is the 'gizmo' - Here's everything you need to know about it in 2 minutes!!

Basically the Ggizmo is the equivalent of the 's', 'r', and 'g' hotkeys in Blender or the 'w', 'e', 'r' hotkeys in Maya - Hope that clears things up-!!

This is the best tutorial I've seen that explains this. Even though I know the Zbrush basics already, I'm watching every one of these. :)

Tip, focal shift now also works with the gizmo. Fun to play with, very useful in some situations. Would recommend to try it out

Thanks for this! Can you also make a tutorial on how to work with reference images in zbrush. I have an issue where if I import a side image and then move around my sculpt and then try to go back to the side view, the reference and the sculpt don't match up like they do in blender when you press the numpad keys. I'm not sure if this is an intentional feature or if I'm just missing something.

Wow moving a Zebra seems way more easy to manipulate than moving a Blender.

Hello, i have a question for you. i want to make a 3d indie game and I’m looking for a software to make my own assets. Im totally new when it comes to modeling. What software do you recommend me to learn and use?
@TheRoyalSkies

Sure thing, If you are totally new, I recommend Blender, because you'll probably be spending most of your time coding the game engine, and it's more than enough to import, export, and quickly edit 3d models. If you have some money, purchase the commercial license on assets you can buy first, and use Blender to edit them for your own needs. You'll also need gimp to edit the texture maps, or photoshop if you can afford it. For editing sound effects I recommend audacity. When you are making music, I highly recommend Fruitly Loops studio. For the engine if you are doing a mobile game, go with Unity, otherwise if it's graphics heavy, you probably want to go with Unreal. That would be my basic software for an indie dev on a budget, hope that helps :)

I'm having an issue, I want to select multiple subtools, then find the mesh center of all the subtools, and then transpose all the subtools to the world origin. I can't seem to find a way to do this. the equivalent in Blender would be: select all the objects > selected to world origin. or even better if there's a way to align just one axis, I have all the subtools slightly off on the X axis, I'd like to know if there's an equivalent to the Blender G > X > 0. Thank you

Dude, I think you *SHOULD* use screen zooms of some kind so that people can see better the constrain things

This is driving me nuts, but is there a way to manually set the center line where symmetry is calculated from? I have a dress that has a cape on one side, so it's asymmetrical as a whole, but I want to sculpt symmetrical details on the chest area. I've looked up a ton of tutorials and they all mention how to get symmetry on an object that isn't in the center of the world, but nothing on manually setting where to split the model for X symmetry in this case. Is this even possible? Thank you as always for all of the great tutorials.
