Thanks for making the list Zee! I've enjoyed watching the series.

I know you show pictures of the boxes, but I think it would be cool if you guys threw in shots of the pieces of the game, the boards etc. whilst talking about them. It's surprising how just a quick glance can allow you to 'get' what the game is about.

as someone new to board games id really like if you edited some pictures of the game; like the box, components, and setup maybe. it would help soo much in figuring out which games to look further into.

The Top Ten! You made it! Really solid group of ten games here. I was racking my brain to remember if you had already mentioned Jamaica, and was so happy to see it at number 7! Unexpected but great! I also had an out-in-left field prediction, I thought you might shake things up and replace Pandemic at #1 with Ghost Stories, because I remember you saying it was your #2 at one point....but that itself dropped down to #5, so way off, there. Great job Zee! This was a lot of fun. Many new titles I'll have to check out from this 100.

Most of the time I've played Pandemic, whoever the more dominant or quick thinking players are find the optimal play, and then everyone else just ends up going along with their decisions. It fails as a consensus game unless you deliberately decide to value everyone's opinion over going with who has the best ideas.

I have both expansions for Pandemic and I sincerely can't understand why Zee and other people love the first one better. First one just added more of the same whereas the second one added so much sense to the game and for me made it complete. It actually felt as if it should have been part of the original. Now you don't need to exchange those stupid city cards anymore. Now it's so real and thematic. I liked the game before, now I adore it.

Ok commenting before watching, I think Tom will only get three of Zee's top ten. WE MADE IT TO THE TOP TEN BABY!!!

Way t' be, Zee; thanks for taking the time to put this together. Pandemic is an awesome game, but for me personally the theme keeps it on the shelf more often than it deserves. Guess I'm more of a Defenders of the Realm guy; I play games primarily to engage my imagination and "real world" scenarios just don't do it for me. I mean really, Pandemic is popular enough to deserve a Lord of the Rings version, don't ya think? Hahaha

I really enjoy 7 Wonders too, but a caveat must be given: let new players know that you will not really "get it" the first game until the very end. Then, be prepared to play a 2nd game almost immediately afterward, because most people love it and want to play again ("ahh... now I see how these work together... let's play again, now that I know how to play!")

Thanks on top 100. Tho wanted to notice this long time ago ;) I bought pandemic ;) all hyped from u guys ;) but that game failed in all groups I tried and as many times we gave a shot.. Even when rlly on right mood and beeing exited about everything what's going in the game the only good thing was that it was short game and we had time to play something else ;) anyway these top10/100 helps me find out more game to buy and introduce to different groups ;) (I'm kinda new to the hobby) so from 25 games I bought this year, pandemic was the one that was no fun at all no mater who with and how many times we tried.

I'm kinda sad that Lice Shower didn't make the top 100.

As Zee was mentioning blue moon it got me thinking of a cool top ten list: the games you've played the most. So we all know that Sam's favourite game is TI3 but he himself says he doesn't play this as much as he would like.....so what game has he played the most?

Great lists. I was surprised to find Sam's 20-11 had the best cross section of my favorites. Really looking forward to Dan King's now.

Woah, it's finally finished! Sadly I watched this first before Sam's so his list is a bit spoiled now. Anyway, thanks for putting this together, I've been enjoying the list greatly! Just like many people, I was surprised to see Jamaica this high. I own it, I play it sometimes, it's good, it;s pretty, but not a top ten game for me. Ghost Stories is a brilliant! (Have never won it though.) Blue Moon (Legends) is on my list to buy and I'm sure I'm going to play the snot out of it too! :)

Very good top 100 and list very well concluded. I was pretty sure you prefer Shadow over Camelot over Ghost stories but I'm proud you prefer the "wAataAaIIiiii" one :) Thanks for the nice words about the illustrations, still a pleasure to hear that :)

I totally agree with Tom on Jamaica. I use it for the same exact thing. Gateway with new gamers. I do love it and will keep it but it's just too simple for me to rank it super high. Love it though.

Thanks for the great list (was worth it to get that pledge level;))! Now i wonder which game do i like so much, so i would enjoy teaching it even.. Recently i have taught a few co-workers to play Thunderstone online and i think it was exciting to me to reveal every new aspect of the game. Especially to one, who is a fan of Dominion :D "hey, in THIS game you can do THAT" :)

Great list, First time I played Ghost Stories I was not sure I liked it. After the second time I was hooked. With full complement I thinks its the best Coop I have played.

I agree with tom in regards to jamaica. I played it several times and a friend is nuts over it. It's an okay game. The best way to describe jamaica for me at least is like catan. While catan is a good game and i wouldn't knock it if people want to play, but there are other games that i'd rather play.

I really am surprised that Robinson Crusoe is soooo low on Zee's list. #97 was it? For me it's easily on of my Top 3 co-ops - Pandemic and Ghost Stories being the other two.

Tom, in Zee's defense of Blue Moon, if it can be accused of being a game of war at the core so can Cosmic Encounters.

modify games to make it fun is the thing i agree most with ever

Pandemic is ruined by the alpha gamer... but I also had issues with it in the sense that it felt like I had no choice on what to do each turn. Based on how the out breaks start looking to appear, you know you have to do a certain action each turn. The game forces you down a particular path, or you lose... so there is little player choice. I prefer a game with more player agency.

Zee, I'm curious to see if you've ever played Defenders of the Realm. It's a nearly identical mechanic. I just think they took pandemic's idea and made it far better.

Of my guesses I got 7 right. One of the ones I was wrong on was Five Tribes (To be fair he put Imperial Settlers at 12 and Zee said he thought Five Tribes was the best game this year)

At number 6... I thought you said "new moon" and i was like... "you put a twilight game in your top 10?"

Tom, I agree with you agout Jamaica... Beautiful fun game, but not a top ten material for me. A little bit too much on the light side. But still, really fun game.

Sam and Zee both ridiculed Tom for having Shadows Over Camelot so low (or high, however you want to think about it) on his 2013 list (think it was in the 60(s), but I must be going crazy did Zee not have it at all...I watched all the videos, where did I miss it?
