She approaches British officials, believing that they are British slaves despite Vahini's statement that the Indians are being cruelly mistreated. When Nana and George, a British cavalryman, engage in a joust at the mela, Nana's early victories lead to British cunning, which ends up costing George. But Manu valiantly carries on with the competition, surprising everyone-including Tatya Dikshit.
