Zelda Breath of the Wild here we are... super late tho ! We were able to record the music only few weeks after the release of the game, but we've been very unlucky with the weather, explaining why we are so late posting this video, leaving an inactivity period on the channel also.
So here is our first Medley ! From the last Zelda game, original music signed by Manaka Kataoka.
A medley was quite a new challenge :) So hope you'll enjoy the arrangement and the performance.
Don't forget to listen with headphones or good speakers if possible to fully enjoy it !

I know a lot of people disliked the soundtrack for botw but I really enjoyed that the music was kind of sparse, it was like you really had to explore to find it and that made it more special and meaningful when the music hit in full swing. I thought it was a cool storytelling device that they used. Very atmospheric, at least to me. Don't get me wrong, I love a good packed Zelda soundtrack, but I can respect them for using simplicity and trying out something new. Just thought it fit the vibe well

I don't think I've ever read a more accurate and descriptive response of the soundtrack and music of the game that I completely agree with. I especially agree that although I do a love a full packed Zelda soundtrack that plays everywhere you go, but not having music follow you everywhere in this game not only makes you respect and yearn for those times when you find music, it plays with will silence and sound and stays true to the name, Breath of the WILD. Like you never hear super upbeat anthems when you're walking through the woods, realistically, you hear crickets and birds and wind and water. Also the absence of music in many locations and times in the games really gives off that vibe of everything being in ruin like in a fallen kingdom. So yes, with a very lengthy supportive statement XD, I totally agree with everything you said. :)

I liked a few of the songs from breath of the wild, but it was lackluster, most of the tracks are very low key an don't really feel like a Zelda tune. But again, it was a nice soundtrack but just too subtle for me.

jed23ify That's pretty much how I feel. It was beautiful, albeit quiet. Not quite what you'd typically expect from a Zelda game, but I personally felt that it went with the atmosphere they were trying to achieve. Not some epic, bombastic quest like Ocarina of Time, or Twilight Princess, but something more atmospheric and natural. Ocarina still holds my favorite soundtrack of the series, with wind waker and twilight princess coming in shortly after. But I feel breath of the wild's soundtrack suited what the game was trying to achieve.

1:25 So, I'm not familiar with you guys, and I wasn't expecting vocals at all. I'm a lover of video game music and when I saw this in my feed I HAD to watch it. This BLEW ME AWAY. The tingles I get listening to the same things fade sometimes, but the main theme of BoTW is something that is yet to do so, and this... THIS, brought tears to my eyes. Bravo

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s soundtrack is really beautiful to me, despite what others may think. It might not feel as nostalgic, and it might not be the same, but it is truly beautiful music just like in other Zelda games. Great job! I hope people will grow on this music someday, even though it’s been 2 years...

I’m with you. When i first started playing i was a little put off by how restrained the music was...but as I kept playing it really started to wash over me and i looked forward to discovering every soundscape. After 200 + hours with the game I can’t imagine it any other way. I think this score is an achievement.

You can't complain about BotW's soundtrack without mentioning the astounding sound design which actually is an integral part of the soundtrack. I mean it's called "Breath of the Wild" for a reason.

I love it when video games drive people to create something beautiful, I love it even more when it's my favourite series, Zelda. This was truly amazing, you guys really made something great here. This was a beautiful arrangment. The vocals perfectly complemented the instrumental trio, which made this medly so soothing to hear. Also, it didn't just feel like a bunch of people reading sheet mucic and throwing an arrangement together; I felt all of the dynamic expression that really added to the musicality. From GameChops' Spotlight - Protodome ▸ Excuuuse Me, Princess Zelda's Theme [ Mirror Image ]- Since I am one of their ambassadors, I usually check out their vids shortly after release, and since I have a classical background as well, I was quite interested in the thumbnail i saw for this. Only orchestral game music I have seen live is the Symphony of the Goddess... this is definitely as beautiful! Congrats!
