Having Link catch Zelda at the end was the best thing they could have done. A sense of fulfillment after his “failure” at the beginning of the game.

For some reason my favorite moment isn't ganon's fight, or him blowing up, but its Link rescuing Zelda. In this given moment, Link isn't thinking about getting to safety, or if Ganon really died, or anything. His one goal in that given moment is to make sure Zelda is safe and that is true loyalty.

This was the perfect final boss to me. It wasnt cheatsy and wasnt so difficult that it got annoying. It felt like a genuine challenge against an opponent who was simply more experienced in your craft.

I loved how technical this battle was. My mouth dropped when he got his first flurry dodge on me, when he destroyed my heart containers and THEN the “oh shit” moment of seeing his health bar stretch to the end of the screen. Such a climactic end to a stunning game.

One thing I love about this fight with Ganondorf is the first time I saw him actually FLURRY DODGE MY ATTACK! Never have I seen an enemy do that and it totally caught me off guard!

This fight was phenomenally better than the final BOTW fight, I had to look it up after beating it... One of my favorite finales in a while.

“Oh Link, I’m home” broke me emotionally man I’m so happy Link was able to save her 😭😭😭

The darkest and toughest battle with Ganondorf in Twilight princess. The most personal and deep Wind waker. The most iconic and classic Ocarina of the time. The most majestic and epic Tears of the kingdom

What I love so much about when link catches Zelda is it makes you realise that it’s secretly been on links mind that he failed to save her the whole game and that he blames himself. The way the music build’s triumphantly into the legend of Zelda theme sounds so joyful and you know exactly how link is feeling without him ever having to speak.

Hearing the Zelda's Lullaby as you're diving down to get her... man that really brought tears to my eyes. What a piece of art this game is.

I did this fight on 2 hearts because I got messed up by the gloom getting down there, honestly it made the fight so much more epic, it was a true one on one sword duel where one hit meant death and it was amazing, I felt so proud when I finally did it, this is a top tier fight

I remember when Ganon got into his evolved state, I expected it to happen, sure, but the health bar just growing and growing, being completely off-centered made me laugh so much 💀💀💀

Rehydrated Ganondorf looks like an amalgamation of every past Ganondorf design in the series, ☑ Ocarina's forehead regalia ☑ Wind Waker's stouter build ☑ Twilight Princess's beard ☑ Hyrule Warriors' luscious locks and when he enters phase 2, he even adds Demise elements on top of all that.

This whole game is lifechanging but what seals the deal is this bossfight and ending. I was in literal tears for Zelda. This game surpasses videogaming territory and is purely a masterpiece form of art.

Ganondorf had the Power, Link had the Courage to fight him and Zelda had the Wisdom to set up the Master Sword and the Sages for a fight that would happen thousands of years in the future. The Triforce is still here, even if not mentioned by name.

Of everything that I love in this ending, I just truly, desperately wish that Nintendo committed to letting us finally get them hugging. They deserved it, the moment was so ripe for that emotion- After everything they've been through, Zelda's immense sacrifice and insufferable pain suffered in seeing so much death in Rauru's time, and casting away everything she had so that she might give Link a fighting chance- And Link, not only having suffered immense physical pain, but having to have woken up and likely have a split second thought of deja vu, that he might have slept another century- And goes on to eventually learn of Zelda's fate, of everything she's done for him...and that she now roams the skies in this state. With all the heavy emotion, I seriously wish that Nintendo followed through and showed us a physical representation of that warm, loving embrace. It was so desperately needed and I wish they were confident in showing that emotion, but no, they never want us to worry about too much or too little romance. Never mind the fact that we *got* that emotion in BOTW, when Zelda collapses into Link's arms overwhelmed with sadness in the wake of the tragedy of the Calamity- I'm glad we had Link embrace her so closely when he finally caught her, but yeah. I just wish we had something more. They both truly needed a hug, after all this.

Seeing Ganon take on a form of a dragon is what I thought it was the coolest!

I absolutely love Ganondorf's fight and phases. The moment he dodges and everything goes slow mo, as well as the hilarious bigger than usual health bar. The fact that layer he doesn't leave an opening, so all you can do is try to parry his parry. I'm still surprise I manged to first try it, tho I was literally down to one heart by the end.

Just like BOTW, experiencing this game for the first time is something I’ll never forget. It’s a true masterpiece, and is now my favorite game of all time!

Are we gonna talk about how Link and zelda didnt die from that 40,000 foot drop onto water.

Godmamn, did they not spare any expense on this fight. I especially love that moment after he restores himself, taking his time to adjust and enjoy his restored physique before going on to face Link. That one line, "that is what a king must do," and the calm, kingly expression on his face are especially nice. For just a moment, I think I got a glimpse of what a heroic Ganondorf might look like. He actually felt RIGHTEOUS to me, and I couldn't help but think back to the theories being touted around when botw was in its early stages and nobody knew much. Everyone was wondering if Ganondorf was a good guy and was trying to defy his destiny as the demon king.

I just finished the game this night, do not sleep . My tears litterally drop for this feeling of epicness. The final fight is litteraly better than Botw. Game of my life for me.

What a good ending. We use to look for a breathtaking feeling every time we see a story's ending and we ignore the feeling that each adventure gives at it's climax. I love this game.

Holy fuck Ganondorf kicked my ass for hours. I finally beat him and I haven’t felt a wave of dopamine like it since beating Malenia

i loved this story so much. I love it all and saving zelda at the end with the previous king and queen using their power to restore zelda was just insane. I cried before from the tear memories but once the dragon fight happened i was crying until the end credits. What an insane game. I hope they keep it up this is by far one of my favorite games ever made.

The first time I came into this I messed up badly during the fight against Ganon’s forces and lost all but 3 hearts. So I got the souls game treatment for this fight.

I loved the secret ending, but I really wanted one of the characters to turn to the others and say, "So... how are we getting down?"

The music during the diving to catch Zelda is absolutely heavenly, genuinely the biggest chills I’ve gotten in a video game in a the longest time

i've literally finished now totk and tears fell of my eyes for the greatness(dont know if this is a word) of this amazing game. I've played with extra hearts food and i still was struggling, everytime that ganondorf would hit me, he would have removed all the ectra hearts in one hit. The Finale was EPIC! i literally cried when the zelda's lullaby started to play in the end. A very beatiful game

the ending of this game had me in tears. this game has such a special place in my heart and catching Zelda at the end felt like everything came full circle. and then when she says that she has to tell Link about all the people she met and all the things she saw??? what an amazing end to a very special game

Genuinely my new favourite endgame for a Zelda. My Hylian shield broke during the fight with Ganondorf and I literally chose not to use another one just to feel more epic. It was perfect, all of it.

it feels so weird seeing the end of this zelda saga. i feel like this could be a total end the the legend of zelda seires if they wanted to. but im sure like there games they will make new storys for us to enjoy later on.

When they started playing Zelda's Lullaby when she woke up I lost it. This was so much better than BOTW. It hit me so much in the feels.

Everyone had their happy ending: Sidon avenged his older sister, not only did he probably make her proud but also helped Link defeat the foe that murdered her, cause the blights were the creations of ganondorf, after that he probably could finally say goodbye to his guilt of not being able to save her and enjoy his life happily with Yona Tulin became one of the greatest rito of their time, not only mastering Revalis ability but also showing his father that he doesn’t need to worry about him anymore, as he helped defeat Ganondorf and with that proving that he can be independent Yunobo wasn’t much of a fighter in Botw, but helping fight against the demon king probably made him one of the greatest gorons ever, he not only earned the respect of every goron, but probably in the near future will also have his face chiseled on this stone wall where daruk, darunias.. face are seen Riju showed the gerudo that she doesn’t need to be taken care of anymore and can fight for herself, Bylla isn’t by her side anymore anyways but she sure is really proud of her and fighting the demon king reassured her that Riju is old enough to take care of herself and not a child anymore in need of help Zelda made the biggest sacrifice you could imagine, she sacrificed her life two times for Hyrule to live in peace, with one time literally loosing her human self, but with sacrificing herself she surely made everyone that died of the calamity proud and she earned the respect of everyone living in Hyrule, she finally got her long awaited happy end, but not only that she also avenged her father that died of the calamity and all the sages and king rauru and queen sonia, that died to ganondorf Link became the greatest hero of their time, he defeated the strongest enemy of their timeline, an enemy that literally almost destroyed whole Hyrule, he earned the respect of everyone, made himself a name and he also finally could avenge all of his dead friends and the royal family, with that feeling he probably finally found inner peace and maybe even can let his guard down, as there is no more evil luring behind this back and live a peaceful life With all of them giving their all into this life threatening fight they finally could restore Hyrule to its former self and I am sure that there’s no more evil awaiting them, they did it, they saved all of Hyrule, they can FINALLY all live their life happily to the fullest

Link "sacrificing" his abilities to get Zelda back to her original form... that reminded me of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood ending when Ed sacrifices his "alchemy" in order to rescue his brother. Might be a stretch to think like this, but I couldn't avoid it

This is honestly so cool first we having the army battle with everyone else arriving to help out link then we have the actual duel with ganon with turns into a one on one sword duel and then he transforms into a fucking dragon and then Zelda as a dragon helps out link with getting him to ganons weak points.

Phase 2 Ganon was so cool, I had to do a double take when his healthbar doubled in size

For 27 years in a long time Ganondorf appeared in ocarina of time we never heard him talk ever since until now and We congratulate the voice actor who voiced Levi From AOT Trafalgar Law from One Piece Jotaro Kujo from Jojo's Bizzare Adventure and Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening named Matt Mercer for voicing this iconic Villain of Nintendo's best Franchise series ever.

Then the cutscene with the dragon started and I was like "oh shit Rauru and Sonia are going to put her to rest or smth". Then Link and Zelda got out of the water and I was like "oh shit Zelda's gonna be dead or smth". When she woke up and actually remembered everything I was so happy lmao. Great ending to a masterpiece of a game

Its not often a video game makes me cry, especially one i haven't played, but having seen multiple playthroughs, knowing what zelda sacrificed, you FEEL the epicness. Each time you strike dragondorf, you feel like you avenge each of your friends and allies. With the music in the background as you catch zelda, its hard not to get chocked up. Well done, Nintendo.

I absolutely love the rendition of zelda's lullaby that plays when Rauru and sonia restore her. The crashing notes and effects that make the music sound distant as if you're in a completely different world. One of my favourite pieces of music nintendo has ever made

I love how the fight with Ganondorf was literally the meme of all fights. You fight the boss You think you beat them and then their health bar refills but even larger and now the music is speaking latin. Boss gets defeated again but turns into a giant monster creature thing. 😂😂😂

Did anyone else wonder why Ganon didn't use his signature move of blasting malice at his enemy like he did at the beginning of this game to link and once again against Rauru who had to use a shield to protect himself from it? I wonder if Link would have lost his arm, the master sword, or worse, if this would have happened in the final battle against Ganon. I was hoping it would've happened for sure especially since Zelda was infusing her power into the Master Sword for hundreds of years and maybe we could've seen Link cutting the malice in the air with the super master sword like no ones business like he does pastures of grass for rupees. Otherwise it was just luck that Link didn't have to deal with this move a second time which not only is a little anti-climatic but also a failure in the "character arch" of the Master Sword and possibly the whole story of Link and Zelda overcoming THE Ganon.

There's a genius to Zelda's rebuilding the Master Sword. It will never "run out of energy" in the presence of Phantom Ganon nor the real one. She knew it was the best thing capable of hurting Ganondorf and made sure he can never break it again.
