Is it just me or does it seem like The Legend Of Zelda would make a really good fantasy book

All of the zelda's weren't necessarily named Zelda. That tradition doesn't actually start until the events detailed in the backstory for the Adventure of Link, which take place before the first zelda game. Though there could have been other zeldas before that point, but it states in hyrule historia that all the Zelda's and Link's aren't necessarily all named that, some were, but some may have had different names but those names were lost in history so they are all remembered as "zelda" and "Link"

To all of you saying this is not a theory but simply lore. I guess you haven't seen my previous Zelda "timeline" videos. Yes they tell the history of Hyrule in a documentary style (similarly to History Channel) with the support of multiple theories to fill the big missing gaps in the official Zelda timeline. Here are some examples of theories implemented in this particular Royal Timeline: Skyward Sword Link and Zelda having children, Their descendants splitting up and fighting over the Triforce, The Interlopers/Twili being Sheikah, Rauru using Timeshift technology in the construction of the Temple of Time, Crafting the Ocarina of Time and being a Member of the Royal Family, the later half of the Force Era is also theory/speculation, The Hyrulean Civil War (Hylian,Goron and Zora alliance after they fought against each other) and obviously the theory about The Kingdom of Hyrule being an absolutist and feudal monarchy/society.

Remember the whole Netflix Zelda rumours that were going around a while back? What if Nintendo made an animated/live action series that went over areas in the timeline we never got too see. This theory video covered so many eras I would love to see being re-told. Each season could cover different eras telling stories that lead up to certain games. Just my take tho.

solid theory/explanation, except for one detail: the princesses in the royal family are not called "zelda" after the goddess reborn from skyward sword, but it was a tradition established after the so-called "tragedy of Zelda I". in zelda 2: the adventure of link, link has to find the pieces of the triforce of courage in order to awaken a sleeping princess zelda that has been guarded by impa for a number of years. this zelda was cursed by a wizard under the orders of her brother, who was jealous of the fact that she knew about the triforce, but this knowledge being denied to him. after he noticed what he's done though, he regrets what he did and told his underlings to guard his sleeping sister until someone comes and wakes her up, and in honor and memory of her, every first-born girl in the hyrule family shall be named zelda after the sleeping princess. for what i know though, this zelda could have been named after the ss one haha

I feel like a point that wasn't touched on in this lore was the origin of the hero of time which may or may not have put a whole in part of your theory.. You see.. Ganondorf supposedly sought to end the life of a young hylian boy who.. (In a very Greek way) was foretold to "undo" his ambitions. With that said this would mean that ganondorf would have to have known about the triforce AND his destiny well before his descent from the hyrule family.

This is not really a theory. Nearly 95% of this is confirmed information just being reiterated, and the rest is just speculation without giving proof to back it up. I would've liked if you actually touched upon the possibility of the Oocca helping the Hylians to establish Hyrule Kingdom. As Shad said in the Japanese version of Twilight Princess: "The common opinion is that Hyrule was created by the Hylia people, the race closest to the gods, but...truth be told, there's also a theory saying that in ancient times, there was a race even closer to the gods than the Hylia people, and THEY created it. And they, simultaneously with the birth of the Hylia people, created a new capital, a capital that floated in the heavens (City of the Sky)." THIS is a theory that I would've rather liked to see covered in great detail. Good video though. Lesser Zelda fans won't know about this information.

Every fucking game has a history that's not fucking tied to any of the other games save the obvious sequels like Zelda 2 or Majora's Mask. I'm playing Breath of the wild right now.... and the fucking backstory has nothing to do with Skyward sword, which would have been the most obvious direct sequel if the fucking story were that Link is exploring a new world after society descended unto the surface from Skyloft.
