It's very cool but I don't see myself using it I can fly for like 10 min with my blue batteries half maxxed and zonaite armor. Plus I got tons of large zonaite charges but I never need them.

I think the main consideration here is The -Gob-Copter- Hover-Bike solved the first problem of wings, extending flight time by 5 to 20 times depending on your battery. Add a brightbloom seed and you can be nimble and land on the tops of mushrooms in the depths. The infinite flight machine is ironically not such an impactful improvement... overengineered, clunky, bulky, and expensive in time and resources.

If you wanna know how that really far reacall worked it goes like this. Different items have different despawn distances and the scale items have an absurdly far one, and everything stuck together with Ultrahand will use the largest despawn distance of what's stuck to it.

The moment at 11:05 has given me an idea. A machine specifically designed for yeeting stal heads as far as possible. Because of how stal enemies work, it would need to be able to seek out and behead stal enemies and still be able to scoop up and throw the head. Not sure if that is possible to create, but it would be pretty awesome.

For anyone that wants info on the infinite flying machine, electric batteries have 15 seconds of charge which does stack per battery (they can also charge through any electrical source al though lightning is an instant recharge) It takes 4 seconds for a battery to change from charging to discharging and a battery cannot do both at the same time. So rotating them allows 1 to recharge while the others discharge effectively meaning at any given time the contraption has 45 seconds to 1 min of free flight where you can recharge your zonaite battery

If the giant hoverbike guy made the wing fans rotate in opposite directions I'm pretty sure it wouldn't rotate the entire bike slowly anymore. It's how chinook helicopters avoid the same problem. 3:19 I built something very much like this in Besiege years ago. I've been wanting to do it in totk, sad that someone beat me to it. Now I have to make one that drives on the ceiling just like my besiege car.

So I was messing around with the whole one-fan bike idea and I found something lighter than the frong leaf. The humble tumbleweed. I attempted the standard tail and couldn't get the balance right, but Had strong progress sticking about six around the fan in a circle. More testing is required.

Re: Build Of the Day How exactly do the fans continue to spin after dismounting? Every time I try this, the motors stop for a few seconds, even with a charged battery attached.

The key thing is ensuring that the motors used for flight are never charged directly by a shock emitter. The 5-second delay comes from a component going from being charged by a shock emitter to being charged by anything else. That's why the rotating wheel is used in the design, it charges the batteries which then rotate around to discharge and power the motors, so the motors avoid ever getting directly charged by the shock emitter, and thus are never subject to the 5 second delay.

v1 scorpion: 6 beam emitters, 3 on each claw v2 scorpion: 6 beam emitters, 2 on each claw and 2 moved to the tail (so lies that there were more of them......) v3 scorpion: 7 beam emitters, 3 again on each claw, but one added to the tail along with a cannon (NOW it has more beam emitters)
