Yeah, it's a mod that changes the animation set for link's attacks and even adds some ninja capabilities to link (faster naruto run, double jump, etc fun stuff)

I don't think anybody really knows why angled rockets take you higher than vertical ones.

my guess is that yes, it is a bug, as having 20 rockets on one thing will take you the same height as 1 (as long as it's a low enough weight), so angling it glitches out the system.@@RealDanteS01

I took a peek at what exactly is what they patented, and it seems a lot of it are related to coding solutions for certain stuffs, like for example, putting a speed limit on objects like when you use rockets and other items that may cause propultion, or Link's movement being the same as the object he is standing on, for example, this allows for Link to not slide away from a zonai wing when you're not using a zonai steering stick and you have attached a rocket to impulse yourself. So instead of falling off because the object theorically would move too fast for Link to keep his balance, the solution was to make Link has the exact same speed as said object so he won't fall off, so using vehicles won't be cumbersome and annoying to play with. There's also other stuff such as the green glue when attaching stuff, but as far as I know, they didn't patented the concepts of the mechanics themselves, as in, they patented stuff related to the mechanics, but they can't really own the gameplay mechanic of sticking stuff together. Now, I could be wrong since there's still a lot of vague stuff relating to the patents and not everything has been shown, but I think the idea is so other devs don't do an exact copy of Totk, as in, making a game that moves, feels and were player interacts in almost the exact same way as Totk, but Nintendo can't own the concept of the mechanics themselves, as in, they can't forbid anyone from also using a mechanic to stick stuff together or a similar ability as recall (I remember a game called Braid having a similar mechanic and it's a much older game)

@@LloydTheZephyrian No, common gameplay mechanics can't be patented, it was already tried many times by many companies in the past way before nintendo and were never aproved, it refers to how the game is aplying physics when link interacts with objects, is more about the coding than the mechanic itself. Nintendo didn't created any of the mechanics in Totk so they can't patent those gameplay mechanics, but they can patent the codes that makes those mechanics behave like they do in Totk. Things like the nemesis system that was created for shadow of mordor can be patented because it was a system that didn't existed before (or at least in the way the game applies it), and it's not a common gameplay mechanic, so those things are approved for a patent. I'm not saying it's right, especially when WB hasn't done a single thing after that game that uses said system, I'm just explaining why some things can get patented, as they are very specific or it's usage hasn't be done in the way said game is applying it. Also, all games are coded diferently for the most part, so while it seems that the character and the platform are moving at the same speed, how it's done internally is a different situation and wether the object is an interactive or a static one in regards to how the player can manipulate it, plus, there's tons of platformer games being created all the time, had Nintendo wanted to take ownership of all platformers they would've just patented all the mechanics in super mario bros., so no, nintendo isn't owner of everything now and devs can't make anything anymore, it only patented specific behaviors for the mechanics in Totk.

It's like a redstone door in Minecraft. Is the fire fruit/wooden door more efficient? Yes. Is it anywhere near as cool? No.

I mean, cartoon physics aside, you could use it as a way to have multiple people travel together, and when one starts getting a bit tired, the next person starts doing the movement. That, and the wheels could let them travel for a short distance afterwards without using their legs.
