The Russo-Ukraine war if compared to the 1930s and the popularization of American isolationism would be closer to the 2nd Sino-Japanese War that saw Japan invade China for a second time. Had the US not embargoed Japan for its invasion of China in the 1930s, it wouldn't have gone to war with Japan at all, but China would have likely completely been conquered by Japan. And the sole reason why Japan attacked the US was because they were essentially forced to, the US oil embargo on Japan forced them to invade China for oil and forced them to attack the Allies. In Russia's instance you have an ultranationalist dictator in Vladimir Putin who seeks to extremely aggressively reforge the Soviet era borders but his regime has all the natural resources they could ever need and they've almost completely adjusted to Western sanctions. Russia has zero reason to attack NATO and zero reason to attack the US, however, if Ukraine falls (unfortunately this is a possibility), it's almost certain post-Soviet non-NATO countries will either be invaded by Russia or put into the same situation as Belarus where they become a Russian puppet.

Virtually all of the money spent for Ukraine is actually going to American defense contractors to produce new weapons as we give Ukraine or older weapon stock for the most part. So that money went almost entirely to America to support American jobs while helping an ally defend their borders. What exactly is it?
