To paraphrase: "Forget about this 'organized despair' you have accumulated and go back to your wrestling. Roll to your belly, use the turtle, stand up, wrestle up. Of course, practice as much rolling as you can. You have to get wet in order to learn to swim." - Bruce Lee

That's hilarious to keep giving Priit shit. LOL. Enjoyed the class format and I am going to review this with my students at tomorrow's class.

Alot of great concepts. I like the use of wrestling as the first technique. Work to get to your feet.

I love your tempo, structure, and your sense of humour, I enjoy each of your class as being part of the class, this one was a gem, standing up / granbies / reversals are my next tactics I am going to work on ;-) thank you

Thanks...loved the structure of the class. I always retain better with structure/classification instead of listing of the escapes...so, thanks!

I like the balance to keep the roll going and it’s an answer to being stock in turtle. I see the evaluation of jujitsu has in corporates a lot of wrestling to continue its evaluation. This is progress. Thank you for your instructions and techniques to keep the rolling a learning experience for both people rolling!

Very happy to see this video! I discovered Priit at the Estonia spring camp 2023 and have been going down a turtle wormhole. I feel sufficiently safe there against most everyone but the top killers at my gym. But I don't have too many safe ways to escape. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Good teaching style. Keep it up. I Hope to meet you at a future camp someday

the content from this channel is pretty good but sometimes exhausting because of the lenght of the video. I suppose cause its better to actually attend these workshops live. I like the takeway to get out of turtle asap and not just stay there; it does a disservice to your own BJJ and your partners. Check at around 6 mins if you do not know how to granby roll. i like the emphasis on the grip on the knuckles and strip the grip, then "place it your back pocket" 25:18 stand up and build height 29:00 reset to guard

Happy to see that I use all those escapes conceptually. Still working on hitting them earlier rather than sitting in turtle for over a minute lol. Thank you for the class!

I watched this when it was first released, but it is better now due to where I am at with my turtle. I can stay safe with all but the high level black belts at my gym and I have been implementing standing up but will try the windshield wipe with granny moving forward. Granny by itself doesn’t work with the multiple stripe black belts

I agree. Being defensive all the time is not a good way to practice and compete.

Any defensive instructions that are concise!? Or must always be so long talks
@timsebring4776 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think Priit advocates staying in Turtle. He presents it as a transition, only, He expects you to research the action out of turtle. For good explanations of the Granby, Stand-up, sit -out, Peterson roll and etc, See wrestling videos.

20:09 I just want everyone to know that for DECADES everyone would make fun of you if you asked "why not just stand up?" they would say that you just don't know what you are talking about and you don't understand BJJ because you can't "just stand up" Funny how they where full of shit all that time hu?
