Zen Master Dogen (1200-1253) explains his idea of ‘existence time’ that has great similarity to the time dilation of Einstein’s relativity. I find it amazing that Master Dogen could come up with such a complex understanding of ‘time’ without the help of modern science and computers. Even today mainstream physics has not achieved such a comprehensive concept of time. I have used my oriental art and diagrams of Quantum Atom Theory to try to make Master Dogen’s ideas easier to comprehend. The idea of ‘existence time’ does not disagree with QAT that explains a process of energy exchange relative to the atoms of the periodic table that we see and feel as the passage of time. I would like to thank the people who made the original video that is translated from text known as Shobogenzo. The video is in audio and as a dyslexic person this was a great help to me! The existence time of apophatic and kataphatic streams concurrently is a Dogen.

The existence time of Dogen is the proper time Einstein's Relativity it is also probability of Quantum Mechanics with the mathematics of QM representing time!

I found a zen center that teaches Dogen way. However, I can find only few videos on him. How come? Are you aware of teachers on KZfaq that teach his way?

The concept Logos could be formed by spherical geometry preceding everything that happens. This can be based on Huygens’ Principle of 1670.That says: “Every point on a light wave front has the potential for a new spherical 4πr² light wave". All we would need is spherical geometry to arise naturally in the Universe and it could form a process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking forming the potential for the Plato’s idea of a realm of forms. As a continuous, on-going, process this geometry could form uncertainty ∆×∆pᵪ≥h/4π entropy, disorganization, with the potential for evermore complexity. Forming not just physical complexity, Platonic Solids and cell life, but also the potential for evermore-abstract mathematics.

Kant eloquently pointed out that time and space are modes of understanding. They are ideas. We can't pick them up and put them on a shelf or bring them back to a laboratory for testing. Dogen isn't even close to understanding Einsteins view of time. It is a very complex theory. And this "enlightenment". How does one even know they are enlightened? Is it possible to know something that you don't know?

The diagrams on the video are not explaining ‘enlightenment’ they are explaining a physical process. The idea is that Dogen was trying to explain the ‘truth’ or the nature of reality and this can be explained by physics. Dogen ‘existence time’ was very similar to the time dilation of Einstein’s Relativity in the sense that it is universal. In Relativity energy slows the rate that time flows as part of a universal process. Dogen ‘existence time’ is also relative to everything!

If we think if the time dilation of Einstein’s Relativity is explained as part of a process of continuous energy exchange or continuous creation then it fits very well into Dogen’s view! Einstein and Dogen were both try to explain reality, they were both trying to explain the same thing, but coming at it from different backgrounds.
