2 жыл бұрынIn Oct 2005 my wife and I came in for a landing after enjoying some fall colors in Murphy, NC. Just after touchdown, my side lowered, thought I blew a tire, but ended up sliding sideways off the runway. A weld had broken on the land gear leg. This is a short summery of what I did to replace the old bungee cord landing gear with new Spring Gear.

I served in the US Navy with Fighter Squadron 41 the Black Aces our sister Squadron was VF-84 the Jolly Rodgers.

I gave this airplane a Navy paint job to honor our son that was serving as a Corpsman at the time. Was hoping maybe I could get him interested in learning how to fly. However he experienced a bad helicopter landing while serving in Somali. He hated flying after that.

Thanks for the video. I purchased a 601 hd taildragger with a damaged main landing gear. I wanted to change it to a nose wheel and add the grove main gear. Are the plans for the conversion available. Thanks
