12 жыл бұрынI just received this nice Zenith K731. It appears to be in very good condition and all the components look original. The electrostatic tweeter is interesting, notice the cloth covered wires coming from it. The sound is warm and clear and the Tone has a wide range of adjustment. The FM reception is outstanding. I'm looking forward to refinishing the cabinet and replacing a few capacitors and resistors. More to come.

The numbers on the bottom are not a date code I don't know what they mean. Mine says 1 3 16 Mine is original also with no golden screw drivers having been inside! What a great sound it produces

I bought one of these at a swap meet for $30. It worked ok, but I cleaned the tube prongs and sockets and it worked better. No filter hum, but I believe that fm tube is weak. I listen to am talk radio anyway.

I'm thinking of buying one of these. If I buy one and it needs gone through, do you do repairs?

You mean that radio consumes 35 W that's not the audio output

QUESTION FOR ANYONE: I have this same radio from my Grampa. It is not restorable so I would like to take the guts out and insert a Bose perhaps? Are the parts worth anything to anyone or should I discard them?{thinking of the Mercury inside??} You may pass this question to anyone who has an interest. Thank You!! :)
