To become a hashira, you must either kill 50 demons, or one of the 12 Kizuki, Zenitsu is the only non Hashira to defeat an Upper moon completely by himself, Kaigaku was very weak compared to the others Upper demons, but he was still Upper 6, meaning Zenitsu, by rule, is a Hashira

Kaigaku wasn't his ally, Zenitsu's "grandpa" adopted them both and trained them (none of the three are blood related), and Zenitsu respected him but Kaigaku only saw him as weak and annoying.

@@yusufgazihan2818No they aren't brothers by blood, but Zenitsu looked up to him like a big brother. He was very sad to have to fight someone that he respected like family, which is why he only pulled out his 7th form as a final attack, when he could've used it at the very start of the fight and won right away. Since the 7th form is something he created specifically to fight alongside with Kaigaku, he didn't want to use it to kill him.

Kmd Dionson yep no lie he is more stronger than zenitsu because he learned how to use all forms of sun breathing and the thunder breathing was made from the sun breathing thats what i saw in wikipedia but zenitsu improved like a hashira and he made the final form of the thunder breathing and that is sevent form: flaming thundergod but still tanjiro is the best and powerful character than all of them because (another spoiler)when they were fighting hantengu a uppermoon tanjiro combined zenitsu's thunderclap and flash with the hinokami kagura dance but if i remembered it i think he used zenitsu's technique because he cant move so he combined his energy to his legs and then he dashed to the demon just like zenitsu... well if you want to check the full from the beginning to ending fight here is the chapter (98)

I like to think that in the final arc all the main characters Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Kanao, and Genya had become Hashira since they either killed a 12 kizuki before or during the final arc.

What I love about this form is it's the one form Zenitsu uses that doesn't end with him resheathing his sword. Symbolism for how he isn't afraid anymore and he isn't hiding. Adding to the metaphor of him being a honed and perfected sword.

In the manga, it was never explored why the 7th form was called Flaming Thunder God. But for me it's because of the late Flame Hashira Rengoku, and Tanjiro became the inspiration for that 7th form.

The thing I like about Zenitsu is he actually can do all of it while he is awake. It's just he is too anxious to try. He practiced the First Form so much that now he can do it in his sleep.

I don't think it has anything to do with Rengoku since Honoikazuchi aka Flaming Thunger God is literally the name for one of Japanese gods of thunder. And it's pretty common for manga/anime authors to use such names. Heck, this exact name was used for a technique of Sasuke in Naruto Shippuden.

It's because the video was shorter, in terms of budget, having to do a short animation means you put more time and work into that 1, 2, 3 ect. minutes. So I wouldn't say he was unlimited budget

After reading this fight, I realised how similar Kaigaku and Tai Lung is. Both worked so hard to please their master and make them proud. Not knowing how to handle defeat he channeled all of his emotion to the only thing he was taught, Demons. He believed in the "succesor" title more than he believed himself

Here's my reason why: -it doesn't indicate who his parents are -it doesn't indicate what happened to his parents -it doesn't indicate who took care of him before he met gramps or if zenitsu was homeless or not -it doesn't give enough information about his past relationships with his past girlfriends So yeah Btw I do respect the fact that the fan book does tell us more information about him but I still think he needed a extended backstory chapter And even tho the main story's manga is completed the manga creator sometimes makes spin offs or extra chapters so hopefully the manga creator makes some kind of spin off or a extra chapter about zenitsus backstory

If I remember right one of the reasons this moment was so great in the manga was because Zenitsu had always used only the 1st form of Thunder Breathing, but didn't have a knack for the other forms and couldn't use them. Meanwhile his Aniki could use all 6 forms of Thunder Breathing perfectly, so while he only expected the face the first form he was caught completely off guard when Zenitsu unleashed a 7th form of his own creation. Deffinately one of the coolest fights from the manga. :,)

Amazing Animation.......One thing i appreciate about zenitsu character is how multilayered he is from cowering to badass to brave ..it brings such a relatable/realistic bonding aspect between him and the audience and makes his badass moments even more saucey...it would be hard to fathom would he could truly do if had the powerups some other characters had, just from considering how extremly Op his techniques already are

His lack of ability to use different forms of thunder breathing make his first form OP because that’s what he’s focused all his training on. If he were able to use different forms like other characters he wouldn’t have an OP first form.

After performing the 7th form for the first time and executing his senior, his orange coat ripped apart to show the demon slayer uniform (which we rarely see on Zenitsu) .. You can tell he hasn't mastered this form just as good as the 1st form because his blade is unsheathed whereas when he does the 1st form his finish is always with the blade in the sheathe. Just some subtle details!

u got it wrong.his blade is always sheathed cos da first form is an iaijutsu technique.his seventh form is not an iaijutsu technique so he doesnt need to sheathe da blade right after cutting a demon.

@@weeb5495 oh that make sense.. maybe you're right! but think about it, first of all - this move was so fast that the opposition couldn't react to it. secondly, when he kicked off the ground to initiate the attack he didn't draw his weapon. so if you put two and two together it would make sense that the attack was a form of "quick" draw. And lastly, the only move he's mastered is the 1st form. So I really believe that his new move would be based off of the first form, which in your own words is an iaijutsu technique (quick draw)

I love him because when he was a coward he boosted his self-confidence and fearlessly fought a demon, he's definitely at hashira level because he hit Daki and Kaigaku in 1 hit and managed to form his own technique like the last Giyuu and Muichiro. He did some damage to Muzan in the last battle. A normal demon hunter cannot make them, and Zenitsu is faster than some hashiras.

And it is 2 or 3 arc later from Entertainment District arc. This fight took place in chapter 143-144 & above i guess while current eps days ago in anime was took from chapter 81. Looks like we gonna wait years more to see this fight dude. Lol

I love how the first form requires not only strength but also total concentration, focus, and calmness and speed to execute a one clean kill in which where Zenitsu is an expert while the other 5 forms purely rely on the power of the user where Keigaku excels the most.

**SPOILERS** This was the actual scene. Maybe if we get season 3 or 4 we could see this. The breath of lightning is only 6 forms and he can only use the first form but he made a seventh form that he saved so that he could use it when kaigaku and zenitsu fights together. But when he recieved a letter that his grandpa died because he cut his own chest because kaigaku became a demon and instantly gained the rank of upper demon 6, he became angry that he couldn't feel fear. It's really good if you read the manga. BTW, he was awake the whole time because of his anger. He is even stronger when awake. ANOTHER SPOILER Tanjirou became a demon that can walk under the sun
