In this tutorial, I go over creating inspired Boris Brejcha style basslines utilizing standard Analog wavetables found in Serum. We go over the basic patch that can get you various different variations of basslines and some unique ones from his songs The Joker, The Troublemakerz, and Hastag.

A bit of an overwhelming tutorial to create as Boris has a long list of songs he plays in his sets. I've picked some songs to create bass-lines inspired from. If you guys have any specific songs with a bass you would like leave it here and I'll update this tutorial in the future!

If your in ableton, take any standard preset that has the type of timbre you want, add reverb and grain delay, and resonator if you want a metallic vibe. Grain delay is the key tho

Hiya, very helpful, thanks! Sometimes I think it's as much about the notes and application of the sounds as much as the sounds themselves. So I'd like to see how to work the bass with the kick to get it really grooving. I'd like Purple noise bassline pls.👍

Finally I found Brejcha for Serum. Thanks Zen! But I would really love a kick & bassline-glue for his darker bassheavy ones. Like the songs: Sad But True (I would love to get a tutorial of that bassline) - Thunderstorm - Gravity (That pumping/chopped bassline) - Streets of Gold (Those REALLY nice 'Mid - MidHighs & Highs') ... Hands down his best work!

i did the same exact settings in serum for those basses and i hear a little annoying resonance ringing sound, it seems to come from the basic shapes ! when i change the waveform it disappear... someone is having the same issue ? it is really in the background you have to use heaphones to hear it...
