it's unreal how terrible the "metal" players are in OW2. In OW1 you could start to see some decent players in gold and plat. Now the metal ranks are just SO BAD. Really sad

lucio wasn't that bad of a pick honestly, no supports can survive the kick with 230 or so damage. It also boops pretty far and does some AoE, so baptiste is not even that good (because of the immortality long cooldown). With lucio, you can boop zen out of melee range, and speed boost to maintain distance between the enemy and your teammates. - Mercy wouldn't help aside from maybe the res, but you're a sitting duck during the case, a T500 like emongg would not let you res - Moira can save herself with fade, but your abilities don't do anything - Zen would be pretty good as usual, just one target to discord. Kick is not good enough to maintain distance because of the speed buff on emongg - Kiriko can suzu and deal lots of damage, but as strong as suzu is, the cooldown is way too long to be reliable - Bapt has lamp, also the burst healing is pretty nice for that mei/reaper/bastion or for the tank, but the cooldowns are super long too - Lucio is probably the strongest pick along with zen - Ana would just be a sitting duck 90% of the time - Brig would be pretty good. Whip shot can peel pretty easily for teammates, repair packs are decent and her ult is strong enough to make 200 HP heroes resilient to the one shot. So for the supports I'd go lucio/zen. Healing doesn't do much when you're getting 1/2 shots anyways. For tank, I'd say DVa is the worst pick, as there's nothing to matrix, and you have to play close to get value. Winston, Ball, Rein, Ramattra would also be worthless. Zarya, sigma, orisa, doom would be pretty effective (but doom would require good mechanical skill to punch the zen off the backline. I'd pick zarya for the tank. 2 bubbles that prevent a positionning mistake pretty easily, as well as getting 90% charge constantly would make her quite the threat. Orisa would be my second pick though. Javelin spin along with a speeding lucio would allow for escapes, it also blocks melee damage FYI. Fortify and its 40% damage reduction would be pretty op, javelin can be used to put some distance between the team and zen. DPS are more tricky. Flyers are obiously super good, but kinda cheesy. Bastion, Reaper, Mei and torb have enough HP to survive one hit, but IMO, playing widow, hanzo, ashe, sojourn or soldier would prove more effective, du to their larger ranges. Cass doesn't travel far enough with combat roll and still gets one shot. Bastion, Mei, Reaper and Torb are more effective in close quarters. Even though they can survive one hit. Their DPS output would be lacking though...
