Love your reviews as always, keep up the great job!!! I was involved a bit with the original v3 and also their vu meter box was my idea in a group chat with Fosi. They really are a good company that first asks their community for ideas and then implements them as best they can. So pleasantly surprised with it. I was worried about it sounding sterile since I have limited (Ifi only) experience with DAC's. Totally pleased with it and thought about adding one to my desktop set up but currently using Zen Dac2 and am utilizing the single ended out headphone out and would miss the headphone jack. May pony up and look into a separate headphone amp for the desktop. Oh wait....this is a Fosi review.....lol. Have 2 V3's.....love them!

I’ve been viewing as many reviews as I can about these Mono’s because I have been saving up for an Anthem 225 V2 to power my Martin Logans F100’s to power through my Onkyo RZ50 for two channel music. (I use for both but more for stereo music)But I wander if I should give these a chance since they are so good and so cheap and can easily handle the 4ohm Load of my ML’s. I guess I’ll check out if they have a good return policy and just buy both and if the difference is very minimal I’ll just keep the Fosi v3 and maybe buy a third for my center channel.

@johnrus76613 ай бұрын
@whocares0503 I'm sure it is fine, but I want to go mono blocks with each their own power amps. The idea is, especially with hard panned music. Is when one amp is doing it's own thing, especially if it is working hard compared to the other. It is not drawing power that would be used for the other amp. Each speaker works completely independently and seamlessly with zero cross talk. And I do listen to a fair amount of hard panned music. And also just because I want to, regardless of the difference is huge. And with the price of these Fosi amps, it's cheaper than many stereo options.

Hey, just a quick comment. In another review, the reviewer stated that using just one 48V power supply with the splitter cable plugged into two of the V3 monoblocks resulted in noticeable noise (humming, buzzing, etc). He indicated that this early in production, that it is recommended that you use two separate power supplies, rather than just one with the splitter cable. Makes sense when you think about it. Perhaps, as the V3 monoblocks go into full scale production and are officially announced for sale at various venues, this issue may be fixed - who knows. On another matter - regarding the Op Amps - I originally purchased 6 of these Oracell versions because a year ago, because I was attracted to the very low price of these (running $19.95 to $15.95 depending on where you buy them). They are Chinese-made of course, and are listed as being discrete. I cannot even begin to tell you how disappointed I was in these - especially after using the wonderful discrete versions from Sparkos Labs and Burson. They made music sound dull, and in one case - using them in the older Aiyima A07 - were both dull and "steely" sounding. I finally had to just put them aside, gathering dust, and reinserted my Sparkos Labs versions back into those Class D amps (A07, A07 Max, V3, and ZA3) that I was trying the Oracell's in. Bummer....but as they say, you get what you pay for.

If you need something more than that you are going to spend way more OR wait for some magic that I can't categorize into words. The "thing" that is hard to place. The old Loxjie A30 had it. The Orchard Audio stuff has it. Not many others reach those sort of "wow" heights so I usually tell people to just get a competent amp that works in their scenario, which this amp very much is.
