My only problem with the game is Pete always getting laid out on the ground. Like he's not that strong without a symbiote... How's my mans been Spider-Man for a decade? L after L... It's a great game, but I'm very much against it being game of the year. Without writing too much, my main problems with the game are: More MJ missions MJ somehow taking on symbiotes by herself Peter portrayed as incompetent and in need of saving Lack of emotional impact Empty city And honestly, there's more but I don't feel like writing allat.

The symbiote piloting Pete's body while he sleeps is actually what happens in the comics, in fact it's the inciting incident that convinces him that something's up with the suit and he should get it off ASAP. The symbiote corrupting your personality wasn't retconned in until after the 94 animated series came up with the idea, Peter just didn't appreciate the brazen breach of consent to his body. (It also left his bod exhausted)

Bro Miles lowkey carried the entire game. He's the reason they beat Sandman, he saved Peter multiple times, beat Peter in the symbiote suite, turned Mr. negative good which gave Peter anti-venom, put hands on Venom (with wings) after Peter got slept, and was spitting game in his free time. Only thing I got against miles was that ugly ahh suit endgame.

And BTW, I wanna point out that when peter got his symbiote for the first time and fought those hunters, his voice was just 🥶🥶. He was angry, and that made him too baddass IMO. He probably surpasses spectacular and the comics for the best version of black suit spider man to me. The stuff they came up with for this guy was just something else. They nerfed Peter hard in this game fr 😂. I see people defending it but in the last game he literally took the same stab wound from Scorpion (which is arguably worse since his tail secretes poison), got beat up by the six, and survived getting thrown into the ocean. Tobey’s Spider-Man got stabbed in No Way Home too but you don’t see him dying from it! He was talking about how painful it was but he still walked it off seconds later. They better have Peter turn up in the next game because he was taking tons of L’s. While he was getting beat up and knocked unconscious multiple times throughout the game, Miles got to be the MVP of it all, got a girlfriend, and was considered to be the better Spider-Man by the end of it.

Puny knife? Correct me if I'm wrong but aint that same puny knife was empowered by Kraven's magical enhancements, draining Peter's life at that moment. Like his piercing durability is low but he tanks beating after beating from mfs like Rhino, Shocker, Scorpion, Mr. Negative, Vulture, his blunt force durability is where shines at.
