This is the first Kyrgyz pop song that I ever loved, after loving Kazakh and some Turkish pop! I saw reports about death threats on her just because she sang here with her bra showing. ESC Thømås en fait son clip a choqué le kirgiztan (on écrit ça comme ça?) parce que elle pose en soutif, et elle a reçu beaucoup de commentaires haineux. Sa musique parle des droits des femmes et de leur liberté de s’habiller comme elle veux. C’est pour ça que les gens encouragent cette chanteuse de continuer son combat et de contrebalancer les commentaires des haters. Voilà, j’espère avoir été claire! ^^

Gülsüm Bayram Kyrgyz and Turkish aren’t the same language, as neither is Tatar (I’m half Tatar). We share the turkic background, as latin or slavic languages do. Rajmet)

You should check grammar type of all these languages. Pronouncing of some words are diffent and the alpahbets are different. But, the grammar of these languages are the same. That's why, I can understand the lyrics.

Gülsüm Bayram I agree with u but they r not the same language :) the grammar, the vocabulary and phonetics are different, although they share the same roots, as Kazakh, Uzbek etc do. Besides, I speak Spanish as my mother tongue so I understand Italian, but it doesn’t mean that both languages r the same.

По сути, при полном равенстве будет тоталитаризм, где любое слово, оскорбившее кого-либо карается смертью. Разве это ли не глупо?

That BBC video made me come here. It just sounded so good I had to look up this mv to listen to the whole song. And im not disappointed! I really like it. Both the song and mv :D But i will say tho, there is no need to wear a bra to express yourself and deliver the message you want to. I mean im not against what she did but considering the kind of country she lives in, she could've toned it down a bit. Thats all. I disagree with you. The message of the song is that women can be free to wear and do what they want. She wants to wear a bra, it would be contradictory for her to "tone it down". AND because she wore a bra, it helped to bring more attention to this song. Sometimes you need to do drastic things for change to happen.

I came here after watching a short BBC video about the backlash on this video and I just wanna say that I hope she stays strong and doesn’t listen to all the irrelevant hate, it’s her life, her body, her decisions. She shouldn’t have to be told what to do or wear from another person. Her voice is absolutely incredible and breathtaking and the music video and lyrics are so powerful. She is very brave for doing this and for this, I admire her very much. I wish her the best and all the support in the world to keep her going and to make videos and more songs like this to stand up for herself and other people who feel like they don’t have a voice❤️

I found out about you, your music and your message in a BBC video. When striving for a huge change, there's always a lot of push back and anger that comes from fear about what will come from the change. Take the Suffragette's in America during the 1920's fighting for women's rights to vote. Or the civil rights movement. Each time there were people who resisted change and even resorted to violence to try to stop it. In the end change came anyway. So stay your course, keep your courage and stay strong.
