This video is our few days in Zermatt, Switzerland. This is where the Matterhorn mountain is and it was an incredible experience! From walking around, trying some of their best restaurants and skiing the Swiss Alps, this was overall an incredible trip!

Doing up Switzerland soon. Starting 2/20 I will be in Grindelwald for 8 days, then Zermatt for 9 days, then taking the Glacier Express to St Moritz for 7 more then 1 day in Zurich. Total of 26 days. I plan on skiing most of them. A side trip to ski Saas Fee is gonna happen too while in Zermatt. Doing the 1/2 board plan to save. Happy trails.

Wow! That sounds like an incredible trip! You’re going to have an amazing time! Be sure to try some Glüwein and Raclette while you’re there! I would also HIGHLY recommend hot hands, hand warmers! The cold season was just getting started when we were there and it was dropping to 12 degrees Fahrenheit.

How exciting! There are at least 3 different gondolas that go to different slopes! There are several options for you! I’m excited for you to experience Zermatt! I think you will love it!

I will say, that Zermatt definitely has some of the latest ski resort/town night life options, worldwide.. live music, DJ's and local pubs. Opening week of 22/23 they were open until 2am+. However, i didn't see any bowling alleys. I didn't look for any though :D

Not sure why you went up gornergrat train without your gear, then go down, then go up again via sunegga`? You can link up all sides of the ski resort on ski/snowboard. Hope you still enjoyed it. Next time you come, don't miss up HennuStall après ski, Post hotel and bars, Papperla pub, Chez Vroni restaurant etc etc.

Absolutely agree! We figured that out before we went up and changed our plans! We went up with everything and were so happy we did! It’s a long journey up and it would waste a lot of time to make two trips up! Thank you for the recommendations for our next trip!

What is the name of your hotel and is it in walking distance from the train station?

The Zurich hotel that we walked to the train station from was called Baur Au Lac It was alright right next to some cute restaurants, the water, Christmas markets, shopping and other bus transportation too! It was a nicer hotel but very worth it to us!

hi, is there any rental shop there for snow boarding?

Hello! Yes there are many ski and snowboard rental shops! It is a very small town, everything is less than a 15 minute walk. The main street is where the gondolas up to the slopes are and just a few businesses down is a ski rental shop and if you keep walking back into town, within 5 minutes you hit a couple more, so you will have your choice!

How was the weather? Good conditions?

Weather was great! It dropped down to 12 degrees, but it wasn’t actively snowing and there was only a very mild breeze, so as long as we were bundled, it wasn’t bad! Some of the other cities we visited had wet snow and even when it was 20 degrees warmer, wet snow and wind made it feel much colder than Zermatt!
