In this video, get ready for an epic food adventure as I took on a gastronomic feat of eating 100 Goreng Pisang (fried bananas) at the renowned Million Star Fried Bananas in Changi Village Hawker Centre! This is not just about breaking records - it's also about appreciating and supporting our local F&B scene.
The stallholder, fondly known as 'Auntie', whips up these delightful fried bananas all by herself after losing both her son and husband this year. Her resilience is inspiring, putting so much love into serving her customers despite all. So, part of this food challenge is dedicated to brave Auntie and her deliciously rich and custardy goreng pisang made from premium rasa bananas.
In between bites of the sinfully good bananas, you'll love hearing snippets of some tasting notes and a lot of me whining. We're bringing attention to local gems that form an indispensable part of our nation's fabric, starting with Million Stars Fried Bananas!

My heart breaks for her. Being 80 has enough health problem on its own, she still has to continue to push on with the stall and still grieving for both her most loved ones. Shes almost all alone.

One of the best if not the best pisang goreng in Singapore, my favorite afternoon snack over a cup of kopi-o for almost 25 years until after Covid. Saddened to know the sudden passing of Uncle Chan, really missed their pisang goreng not forgetting the green bean cake and also the 3-1(yam, sweet potato and Nian gao layered) will sure find a weekend to patronize Aunty
