Thank you for doing the video. I wasn't aware of I quality of bargaining power. When I use to be on 0 hour contract I would go in whenever asked thinking if I don't they just want ask me in future. But not getting suck pay or holiday pay sucks and I don't think you get pension from 0 hours. I could be wrong. I only ever thought of it ftom employee side but didn't think of it ftom employee messing emoyer around. I think reason that alot of people don't like them is lack of guaranteed hours. Which as you pointed out to people that have bills to pay isn't helpful. Great video though

@@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions thank you very much 😊 The only one that springs to mind that I mentioned before was signs of a bad employer.

Thanks for video. Without stability of x hours per week (even if shifts) or any employment benefits I can't see how a 0 hours contract is better than being a temp through an agency (or a freelancer offering a price per hour for their time and ezpeetise). Benefits of employment seem to only relate to permanent employees working even a small amount of hours per week such as I started at 4). I was just offered 1 and at the moment I declined as I want to be a freelancer and have a minimum hours and some notice.

Thank you. Both freelancing and permanent have their pros and cons. As long as youre more comfortable in 1 and know then thats the route to go

@@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions Thanks for reply. I later saw another video which said that Zero hours Contract is a 'Worker Contract' rather than an 'Employment Contract' and that whilst you can accrue holiday pay whilst working p Hours cannot be disciplined like an employee. Now it sounds like the kind of temping which Manpower used to offer - if regularly working would earn holiday pay and if lucky it could lead to a permanent job !

That sounds more temp to perm based on zero hours to "test" suitability. The wording can be changed but I preferred to keep it separate as some companies love a carrot dangle without any real jobs attached if you catch my drift

@@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions Thanks for your reply which is extremely helpful as I always felt Temp to Perm was the ideal way into employment for people who like me have anxiety issues or who are Autistic and find the idea of going straight into a Permanent Contract with a new person, a new work environmenf AND new work to be quite overwhelming at one point in time. For one role I was offered 2 trial shifts (paid) and it enabled them to see that I was suitable for only part of the role so able to part on friendly terms.
