In the pursuit of upgrading Marks E90, we managed to pick up a second e9x Msport steering wheel for a great price and fitted it straight on.
The conversion will work on all the e9x cars including the e8x 1 series.

Pro tip: Use a T20 handled driver (as in a screwdriver with t20 end) this is the easiest & fastest way they do it at the dealerships

Looking good, with the leather retrim and trim respray, would be perfect in my opinion.

I have been told that after the rubber soft touch coating comes off you can go over the plastic with a scotch brite pad. apparently it comes up OK.

What color is the trim on the dash and center console? Looks kind of black but sometimes a bit brown?

Hey do you know does the m sport air bag and the e90 2006 Sport package steering wheel share the same airbag??

Yes. The e9x only had 2 different air bags to my knowledge. Base model huge triangle thing or sport, m sport and m3 all the same

Purchased MSport wheel for my e92…. No airbag oc…. How do I go about getting an airbag, I assume many of the used ones are ones that need recalled

Offical answer is new from a dealer. Thats the only way to be sure its a new generation bag.

Send it away for a proper re-trim, well worth the spend.

That soft trim feel on the plastic is the original version of plasti-dip 😎 give it a try 👍

They wont, must be a e9x sport air bag.

Did you completely disconnect the battery, or just the negative pole?

If you did you have to be very careful now. If you turn it too far it will break.
