It's not just people in pred lobbies that are cheating, there are people across all the ranks cheating - the biggest form of cheats i've come across are wall hacks / aim bots. It doesnt matter how many time you report them, they pretty much never get banned. So yea, I totally agree. I really can't see this game staying alive for many more seasons at the moment.

It's because apex is too busy banning people for their usernames being "against the guidelines" to ban the cheaters, they couldn't care less about game playability anymore

It’s not just apex sadly , it’s EVERY SINGLE ONLINE GAME . Doesn’t even need to be a competitive shooter , I can’t even turn on my Xbox after a day of work and enjoy my favorite hobby bc every single video game is riddled with virgin teenagers hacking the games .

As a software engineer the bots are not badly programmed. I'd say they're programmed really well. Instead of going all out and adding tracking and advanced movement, just lock on to the closest target and shoot once damage is received. It's effective because there's less code to maintain and less edge cases. A decent programmer could very easily do something like this if they're familiar with how Apex handles variables in memory.

EA banned me for 3 days last year with no warning for having the name violentfemme which I had been using for 2 years. 2 months ago I got perma banned for typing 'am I the last mnk'er, fck this sht'. I lost my 20k kill fusey and my comment wasn't even aimed at a player. Sad 'cos this game helped with my depression and anxiety (killing time, keeping busy) and it's just become a rigged bloody game!

EU is basically unplayable lately, my squad and me are all multi season Master players and we have never struggled this much to rank up. Every single game is just people walling and more often than not they don't even bother trying to hide it, just like it was in your Mirage clip in the beginning. It's genuinely so frustrating because this season started off so fun too.

maybe the bots are using image recognition to see where the hitmarker is pointing and the ajust the camera until it see s the hitmarker pointing direcktly forewarts and since you usually would be konstantly shooting them the hitmarkers would keep updating and showing the bot where 2 aim

My Apex experience for the past year or so is coming back on after a long month of being tired of the game, booting up Battle Royale after some mixtape as a warm-up/prerequisite to have games that I don't do super terribly in, and then getting shat on for like 10 games in a row while dropping three to no kills. Then I'm left wondering why I even bothered getting on in the first place. For a long while I just accepted that I was just completely ass at the game but hearing about all these apparent cheaters on both PC and consoles and how just a year and a half ago I wasn't doing nearly half this bad is slowly changing my mind to that the realization that: yeah this game just sucks.

For me on Xbox I have come across a few cheater one is rank, and the rest when I connect to a full PC lobby and I was the only Xbox player on mix tap, because of this I lost a lot of motivation to play the game, I love apex but it doesn’t help when I just try to have a normal game and the cheater come out of nowhere

As a season 1-10 player idk why people even still play Apex tbh, like I can understand getting online occasionally for the free collection event rewards trackers or for something different to play if your bored because I still do that rarely but to physically still support the game and purchase the battlepass and skins and play every single day is insane to me. I refuse to put anymore money into the game between the hackers but also the fact that even if I buy a skin it's first person so you rarely get to even see the skin outside of the lobby or emotes/finishers so what's the point if everyone gets to enjoy it besides you? The reason the cheating has gotten so bad is because everyone is using DMA cheats which is basically using 2 PCs, there's a card connecting the 2 pcs together that has access to the memory and it's ID registers as a common assessory like a pair of headphones so its basically undetectable and the only way people get banned is by manually reporting them and even then they don't care about some average casual like me they only listen to pros or content creators. Direct Memory Access (DMA): This is a fancy term for hardware accessing the computer's memory without bothering the main processor. DMA cheats use this trick to read and modify the game's memory without being noticed by the usual cheat-detecting software.

100% cheat dev's are making more money than EA off Apex. EA grossed an estimated US$1.3b in '23 off Apex. At $10 a day for a cheat, I recon it's not hard to believe that there's more than 300,000 people walling and aimbotting their way around in a day. 400,000 concurrent players, the actual active players on PC are in the many millions. Not a developer, or a coder. But there has to be a way of a bit of game logic to say if someone has a accurancy percentage > 90% over the course of an hour, then flag them for review. Of if their lifetime accuracy is 30% and then suddenly it's tracking at 95% they gotta go. But then again, EA is probably financing the cheat devs...we all know they love a dollar.

I felt like this was off season 1 I was top 50 na with octane and by end of season I got addicted to tarkov for a few years came back and I’m getting shit on by people from across the map even when my movements are insane they just stay locked in shits weird

I’m a computer scientist and we’ve designed things like this before. It’s not aimbot. It’s something like damage direction detection. So if you shoot it in the leg from behind the script will lower the aim a little and turn to the exact direction from which it was shot in and shoot downwards a little at your feet. If you shoot it in the head, the aim will stay level with your head as it turns and shoots.

This is sad af! I absolutely love Apex but I quit playing about a month ago due to the amount of cheaters. It really bothered me when I reached out to respawn to report some people that were blatantly cheating in their streams and they did nothing about it.

bro when a knuckle cluster did 70 damage to me after i walked into it after it was already active for 5 seconds, and then the fuse downed my 225 evo health in 0.9 seconds (i also had my rev ult active) while i was strafing at mid range, yeah i knew respawn didnt care
