Paramount Lara! She looked and sounded gorgeous then. Don’t get me wrong, she’s still beautiful and sounds great, just different in my book. But back then, she was slaying it, vocally and scenically. The original rendition by Massimo Ranieri is just as powerful to be fair, going crescendo into those last moments. And Lara did a good job at covering it with passion as well. Edit: Her face and eyes. No matter what era of Lara I am looking at, they always get me. Whether during singing or interviews, they get me. Her eyes specifically. She has very communicative eyes.

Her voice is fluid gold filled with heavenly emotion..

The Italian language is no problem for Lara. Her mother is from Sicily and she grew up there until she was 5 years old and regularly visited family during holidays.
