oh hey, that demo at around 6:55 was me, it was like my second time playing, everyone had just been messing around that round, especially the heavies with the tickle gloves, so i never shot any heavies on sight. i had assumed that medkits have a large enough hitbox to just pick up through someone, realised a second later that that is in fact not true, didn't know crouch jumps were a thing as it's basically my first source game, and then i just pittered off in embarassment of getting stuck on the rail.

Part of me is sad we didn't see any balance changes with this update, but doing to would have required balance testing, which would require gathering enough Valve employees to play a bunch of games. That COULD be solved by implementing some sort of official balance-testing server, though. Like one that automatically gathered player data, allowing a single employee to see which weapons are underperforming compared to others. From there they could tweak stats, wait a few days, then check the results.

About half an hour ago, I played at Pelican Peak for more than half an hour, because the whole match became friendly :D It was a delight after the previous matches of non-stop bot kicking.
