更敢講就會更自然 就像莎白在台灣講中文一樣 how authentic your film is. Thank you very much
語言學習,環境真的很重要!事實證明,莎白老公英文真的很棒,口說及聽力真的很強! Both of you did a really great job, thanks for sharing!敬祝:佳節幸福、愉快,來年一切心想事成! Wish you have a Christmas filled with happy hours and a new year filled with happy days!👍🎅🎄🙌🎉

This was a lot of fun to watch. Eric was such a good sport. I think it is okay to say Good Morning to the drive thru worker and then go right into what you are ordering. It depends on the part of the country you are visiting. In the southeast people take their time greeting and asking how someone is doing, also in more rural settings. In large cities people want to get to the point so a simple hi before ordering is fine. A good way to start a conversation for small talk is to mention something in line or while standing in the same area. For instance, if you are in line at a restaurant you can simply ask "Do you know if their salads are good?" If you are waiting for a bus "Does this bus usually come late?" A simple question can lead to a larger conversation. Small practices will build your confidence.

Tips for English learners: 1. just say points/main ideas 2. Minimise your rage(item u look for) 3 Be brave, don’t be shy.
Eric, you did a great job! I always say good morning to the people assisting me at the drive thru, on the phone or in person. Having worked in stores for a lot of years, it’s ok for the customer not to tell you everything right away. Part of your job as the sales clerk is to ask questions. I think your English abilities are wonderful. Keep up the good work!!
I saw someone talking about trying to speak without a Taiwanese accent. Sigh. When it isn’t your first language IT IS OK to speak with an accent. There’s nothing to feel embarrassed about speaking a second or third language with your accent as long as people understand you. The accent will go once you live in a place for an extended period of time as you use the language on a more frequent (or daily) basis.

For starters, they need not to think about accent issue. 😉

100% agree! I used to work with international students from many different countries and they all have their unique accents. I've lived in the US for almost 10 years and my accent shows when I pronounce certain words. As long as we can communicate with others in English, accent doesn't really matter!

You don't critique people who work hard on their own thing. Maybe working on accents doesn't actually improve your communication skills that much but hey it is one thing to learn and doesn't need to say it can also help you feel more belonged in the place just because of having same accents with people around you, which may help you speak freely more often and maybe even make you actually LIKE to speak the language. You can't even achieve that if you spend all your days practicing your precious CoMmUnIcAtIoN sKiLlS LMAO.

I migrated to USA more 30 years ago. I live and work here, but I cannot say my English is fluent enough to 10 out of 10. Eric, you will reach 10 out 10 very soon!

Elizabeth, you enunciate words very clearly. You give clear directions. You are good at complimenting Eric, at the same time offering constructive criticisms. You will be great at teaching! 😊 For someone who had never spent time here, I feel Eric hardly has any Taiwanese accent when he is speaking English. Lastly, I disagree that "good morning" was not appropriate for drive throughs.
