Around 1945 (1941-1949), the CCP media vigorously promoted the concept of democratic nation-building, mainly that the Chinese government established in the future would have a democratic system like the United States. Of course, this was caused by the dictatorial rule of the Kuomintang government at that time. At that time, some American elites sympathized with and supported the CCP, which was not unrelated to China's propaganda and public opinion at that time. During China's post-war civil war, the United States completely abandoned the Kuomintang government for two and a half years (see Dakang's recent video). The problem as a result is that after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the concept of democratic nation-building was completely abandoned. It is conceivable that if there had not been democratic public opinion building momentum before the founding of the People's Republic of China, many elites would not have defected to the Communist Party.
