My son is half. Unfortunately he doesn’t speak japanese. He said he doesn’t like foreigners speak in Japanese. I sent this video to him You guy’s japanese is perfect❤
I randomly came across this and wow, everything John said I can relate! Both my parents are Japanese but for whatever reason I was sent to Tokyo Chinese School. This was in the mid 90's and I believe we only had 2-3 full Japanese students in the entire school, including myself. I only attended for the first few years before moving overseas and still this day I have a Taiwanese accent when I "try" to speak Mandarin. I'm sure it was even harder for you to fit in being a foreigner living in Japan but "太陽に向かって泣きながら歩いて帰った”、”俺ってなんなの” really got me. I remember contemplating life everyday on my way to Yotsuya station. I wish we crossed paths, so we could've cried together on our way home!!! lol
