Late but, not technically true. The devil gene was what plagued Heihachi later on, but when Akuma came to Kazumi to help her, this was when Heihachi already took the Mishima Zaibatsu from Jinpachi (killing him by chaining him under the temple with a huge boulder and he starved to death) and wanted to expand his power. This was at the point where Kazumi realized that the man she loved was too far gone in his evil to the point of no return. Heihachi was purely evil from the start of all of this, Kazumi and the devil gene was only what affected Kazuya's outcome. If she had died without using her devil form, then Kazuya wouldn't have been thrown off the cliff and awoken the devil gene.

The story mode for Tekken 7 is going to be a cinematic story like Street Fighter V. The difference is that unlike Capcom, Bandai Namco have fairly consistent writers, so it most likely will be what the latter games' story mode should have been.

i strongly disagree, this dubstep music just ruined the soundtrack for me, that makes it too forgetable for me (again, personal opinion) previous releases had great music (but not TAG, that was boring to me) even the infamous tekken 4 has better music than this one, tekken tag 2 is just an excuse to have almost every character in the screen to choose, too much but not a bad move, not that bad but dissapointing to me with a select screen flooded with tiny faces and wasting a lot of area for today's widescreen setups. i miss the lightning beams from the much better original TAG, why i say its better? i hate the now over-used bounce when you land a strong attack on the enemy and they simply don't stay on the floor, i know "the attack was so strong he/she did a bounce and now is exposed to more attacks" damn i hated that one, tekken 6 ruined all tekken for me but even that, tekken 5 originally introduced that bounce with some very few specific attacks but you can't benefit from that, now is the most (again) over-used cheap mechanic that ruined all of the skill from defense as a punishment for players making a mistake and a complete unfair way to beat new players on the franchaise, that's why i still think that mortal kombat 9 and X are leeching players from tekken because all of those people were pissed off with this awful mechanic that simply keeps new players away from tekken now. My personal opinion and the main reason to keep playing all tekken except the GBA version, 4, 6, tag 2 and revolution, i didn't played 7 yet because of the shit music it has.

Still prefer T5 and T3's intros, but I love the additional back story they're adding into the series at last, explaining why the main family are so psychotic.

Heihachi didnt mistreat Kazuya, he intented to kill him because he knew of his devil gene.

Jin also has the evil gen. Azuka could also awaken that. Only for that they should die? Heihachi's bad treatments ignites the evil genes, pushing his relatives to extreme survival.

Asuka can supress the devil gene, as seen in dark ressurection (Jins ending). Kazumi fought Heihachi to stop him, because he is power hungry and extremely strong. But when Kazumi turned into Devil, Heihachi killed her (he did regret this). To prevent Kazuya from turning into a devil, he attempted to kill him, in which he failed. Jun was also able to supress Kazuya's devil gene, which is shown in tekken 2. But because of that, he loses to Heihachi. Heihachi is not a good person, but he and Kazumi loved each other, and Heihachi still loves her to this day.

Wouldn't it be more convenient if it was the same one otherwise how would they know to meet at the right place? Plus why would the developers want to make it a different one? Sigi Disos He had to kill her because Kazumi was attacking Heihachi with the power of the devil gene. So, he had to kill her to survive. According to the voice and speech of Kazumi, the devil gene is pretty strong and hard to control. Therfore Heihachi had no choice killing her, and ofc he still loved her and is sad.

Also according to the voice and speech of Kazumi, Heihachi was the one who needed to be stopped. Heihachi pretty much betrayed his own father Jinpachi, imprisoned him and left him for dead (and then his body taken over by a vengeful spirit bla bla Tekken 5) just to take over the Mishima Zaibatsu only for power. Heihachi wanted to kill Kazuya his own son because he was scared of the devil gene which I think pretty much can be controlled, as we can see Kazumi handled it nicely for all those years, Kazuya the other hand well... the devil inside him was already took over simply what Heihachi did to him. It's really hard feel sorry for him.
