Paul Hunter, célèbre réalisateur de films publicitaires et de clips musicaux ( Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Madonna) vient de tourner un nouveau spot pour le nouveau déodorant Adidas dans lequel il met en scène Zinedine Zidane. Le footballeur se met, cette fois-ci, dans la peau d'un escrimeur qui affronte un adversaire dans un combat digne de la scène finale de "Scaramouche" (production Wanda)

For a "fair" epee vs sabre match, the epeist should be the one wearing the sabre metal clothing, so that each fencer should hit in their normal valid target.

We thought it was epee untill the end then we saw the sabre. We do epee. Great fencing for a footballer.

I can't help preferring the guy with the beard - what a cad! He punches, headbutts, crashes into people, swings off curtains , cheats horrendously...what a guy!(Would my coach approve, hmm?). Okay, it's not serious fencing but boy is it fun!

@Ironeyes No...it's sabre vs sabre. They just put the one guy in a lame and sabre mask to differentiate the 2 characters. Sadly, this is what everyone thinks of when they think fencing for the first time!

Great energy but a bit confusing! At first I thought it was epee versus sabre but if you look closely, you can see that Zidane is holding a sabre! Maybe his bodywire was knackered that day so he decided to fence 'steam'! ;-)

I love the part where Zidane does footwork with the lettuce. One wears a lame and ones does not so the audience can more easily tell them apart. This was not intended as an instructional fencing video...

the posters are technically worse: épée uniform, sabre weapon, foil stance and what looks like a sabre being held like a vertical foil. but still, looks cool. XD
