For those wondering about the difference between the two similar Chinese instruments Guqin and Guzheng: Guzheng was an instrument for ancient musicians to entertain others, while Guqin was an instrument for ancient scholars to entertain themselves. Guqin was one of the 4 arts of ancient Chinese scholars: Qin, Qi, Shu, Hua (Guqin, Go, Chinese Calligraphy, and painting)

U can search for these beautiful Chinese musical instruments playing many ancient and modern songs on KZfaq. These instruments include Guzheng 古筝, Guqin 古琴 (has a deeper sound than Guzheng, this is the one played by Lan Zhan in The Untamed), Dizi 笛子 (a kind of Chinese flute, held sideways, this is the one played by Wei Wuxian in The Untamed), Xiao 箫 (held vertically and played by blowing at one end of it, sounds lower and deeper than Dizi, this is the one played by Wen Kexing in the Wuxia drama called Word of Honor), Pipa 琵琶 (a sonorous, four-stringed, pear-shaped instrument held upright on the lap when played, sounds very intense, this is the one played by the Scorpion King in Word of Honor), Erhu 二胡 (two-stringed, sounds very sad, like the voice of humans), Suona 唢呐 (very loud, used at both traditional Chinese weddings and funerals), Hulusi 葫芦丝 (cucurbit flute, sounds very beautiful and melodious, from Yunan province, in the south of China). My favorites are Guzheng, Guqin, Xiao and Pipa. Since I watched Word of Honor, I love Xiao and Pipa more. 😁 This channel called ‘Zi De Guqin Studio’ is amazing. Hope u enjoy them.☺️

I think most people don't see how insane a performance this is, the intonation on an unfretted string instrument is hard enough already, she did it 100%, and on top of that, she managed to hit every single harmonic very precisely too. This is what years and years of practice and a lifelong passion would look like, mind blowing, breathtaking.

I was a street musician for 20 years. Nothing makes music so worthwhile as the appreciation and rapt attention of an innocent child. Connecting with another soul through the language of music before they've mastered their spoken one. It's an honor and a privilege to bring peace and quiet to a busy young mind. Get your son a guitar and let him play with it how he wants. See where it goes, you never know.

Can you suggest some chinese novels?

@@dalizaurraca8598 i read the martial type most of the time, idk if it’s the type you’d like but try “legend of ling tian” and “otherworldly evil monarch” it’s about martial world and the novel brings sometimes the side of poetry and music in some events.

I was drawn back to this tonight. I do not know why but ever since I was a child something about Asia and all things related has pulled me in and made me feel at home. Food, attire, language, customs, history. People now days talk about not feeling at home in their bodies, I feel as if I was born into the wrong time and place. Like I was knocked off course on my way to reincarnation. I do not know but I love this song and it makes me ponder on the beautiful aspects and sad aspects of life and it has a yin yang beauty to it. Thank you so much for bringing this into existence for people to experience
@haniahannslew410811 ай бұрын
I guess you’re not alone. Many people also feel like they were knocked off course on their way to reincarnation. Chinese culture, especially the more ancient one is truly unique, very interesting, very elegant, very beautiful, very peaceful and very attractive. Chinese culture has attracted and gets admired by many people from all over the world from as near as Korea, Japan, vietam to as far as Britain, France and Italy. That is why Japan Korea Vietnam all have adopted and have similar culture as China. Britain, France Italy Germany Japan went even further and beyond just admiration. They also wanted a piece of China, and that kind of extreme mad love had become hatred and created brutal tragedies on their affectionate object. When one madly loves something that they can’t get, the love turns to hate. And that is very dangerous. China was and is the victim of that kind of love-hate feeling.

The instrument played in this video is Guqin. U can search for these Chinese musical instruments playing many ancient and modern songs on KZfaq. 😁 The way Wen Kexing played the Xiao made of white jade is so elegant. 🥰 Also, the Scorpion King playing the Pipa at 18:55 of episode 6 looks so cool. 😁 At 19:55 of episode 4, Qin Song, one of the four assassins of the Scorpion also played the Pipa.

To me this sounds like a young woman waiting beneath a cherry blossom tree while a gentle wind is blowing, making her hair flow gently with the breeze as cherry blossoms rain down on her, for her it feels like a memory from a dream, vivid and almost gone. She is at peace, she is happy but it is bittersweet because she knows that the once beautiful images of the past are now just faded pictures of what was and might have been.

I don’t want to be right and wrong, so things go against my wishes, the flowers in my heart wither, time will never return, I hope to wash away the pomp and dust, and I’ll talk to you with a pot of sake for a lifetime of intoxication Time does not go back, memories toss and turn, pain but this heart wishes only for the rest of my life without regrets Fly away with the fragrance of flowers A pot of sake covered in ashes A thought goes back and forth for the rest of my life without regrets A spring and autumn life and death Flashy right and wrong Wait for the flowers to bloom and get drunk again I don’t want to be involved in what is right and what is wrong, but things go against my wishes. The flower in my heart withers. The time will never return. Memories toss and turn to and fro. It’s painful, but this heart’s wish is for the rest of my life to have no regrets. Fly away with the fragrance of the flowers. A jug of sake is covered in ashes. Birth and death, flashy right and wrong Wait for the flowers to bloom and then get drunk again May the time of this life never wither Wait for the flowers to bloom and then get drunk again May the time of life not wither again Look back and taste the aftertaste of the wine A pot of sake is dusty and dusty Going back and forth for the rest of my life without regrets, a spring and autumn life and death, glitzy right and wrong, when the flowers bloom, get drunk once again with a pot of sake, covered in dust and a thought, go back and forth for the rest of my life without regrets, a memory, life and death, my heart is gone, and I will look back and taste the aftertaste of the wine. A memory, life and death After destroying the heart, I will look back and taste the aftertaste
