The 1970s were a turbulent decade for United however they continued to play exciting attacking football Here are some of United's Best Goals of the 70s

I love watching Bobby Charlton's thunderbolt shots for goals. Power, precision, perfection.

Just magic times that's why thousands turned up to watch man united when they were in town . One things for sure whilst united went on to greater times . The Law, Best & Charlton days will be my favourite era of man united . It was a privilege to have seen them . And go anywhere in the world everybody new about them.

no diving regardless of actual contact..this is the way football should be

the way geroge best, cantona and Messi played football, they have a simplicity to it, and yet the opponents couldn't touch them. it just feels like they are operating on a different level than the rest of the world, which includes CR7 and his fancy dribbles.
One of the greatest ever atmospheres at OT was the incredible 2nd Division match v Sunderland in 1974, it was seriously heaving that day and anyone who's old enough to remember this game knows it has legendary status, 74/75 is one of my fave ever seasons.
Nov 1974. I was there in the Stretford End. 60,585 supporters watched the game. No 2nd Div or Championship side will ever get crowds like that.

I’m a Newcastle United fan but I have to say that this video shows exactly how good the Man Utd team was with Charlton, Best and Law in it back in the day. No diving about like the players of today, plus they played on mud bath pitches a lot of the time. No flat carpet like pitches like they have today and no lightweight footballs either, proper leather case ball which were heavy especially when they got wet. The skills they showed back then were as good as anything on show today and if George Best was playing today in his prime he would cost a small fortune to buy. RIP George Best, the greatest player ever produced by the UK.

brilliant... loads of goals I'd never seen before and well remember getting 60,000 crowds at home in the old second division

Hats off for the relatively restrained goal celebrations; nowadays players seem to want to show off their birth certificate to prove their loyalty to their club!

I saw most of these goals at the time, I went everywhere watching United in those days. Great memories. I wonder what today's players would make of the state of some of the pitches??
