question, why doesn't ziggy place down all of his spikes at the beginning? i always assumed this would be the best thing to do if it's a 1-way map.

It's not, it's better to save your spikes to pop leads, ceramics or get extra damage on a moab. Also some spikes could end being used when they'd don't need to be, if you have a tower that can hit the end of the track the spike pile may hit the bloon wasting some of your spikes when whatever tower you had would've hit the bloon anyways
