Roland and Yamaha made some amazing electric drums 15 years ago. They (especially Roland) have dominated the market place. With no competition Roland and Yamaha's products are essential those same kits they released years ago, dressed differently. No real innovations have been made. Zildjian have innovated with these cymbals and I'm wrapped to see them releasing a full e-kit. The more competitive the market place. The better for us🙏

I have been playing drums for 8 years. All E-kits... I won't if I think it feels weird once my local store gets a demo. I have a Roland VAD-507 now so I am not playing a toy. I am glad Zildjian came out with this. Now the acoustic purest can see what we mean. Just turn a knob you have a different kit. No tuning just flick a switch. Zildjian you need to come out with a cymbal pack.

Nobody mentioned about, that still there’s no option to play rim/hoop and head/center) getting both sounds if hit 2 surfaces simultaneously. Using an extra pad( bt1 etc) as a cross stick is not a solution for an acoustic drummer.

Everything I'm about to day is gonna sound harsh... I'm not trying to hate, I'm honestly trying to understand, if anyone is willing to explain this to me: The very first strikes we hear from Roni Kaspi on the toms, my brain immediately says, "Ah yeah electric kits still sound like that eh?". I thought for sure the tech would have advanced by now to a point where they're imperceivable from an acoustic kit, especially at this price point. And can someone tell me why you'd want a full size electric kit? Is it purely aesthetics? Ash Soan says the kit is "compact". Isn't that a straight up lie? What about this is compact? A shallow bass drum I suppose, but that's literally it.

It uses professionally recorded samples of real drums and cymbals engineered in a professional studio. What you're hearing is real drums, you might just not like the mix. You can always tweak to your liking.

There are multiple models you can see in the video and shown at the end. The Bronze EX is a shallow shell style, much more compact style kit that takes up a much smaller footprint. Ash starts off playing on that kit so that is most likely what he’s referencing. The Bronze EX has the same cymbal technology and module, but is much more compact and space conscious.

Yes, it's all stage presence, which I don't get. My kit is compact as I use pancake shells and 2 up (10") and 2 down (12"). The drum sounds on this kit is crap as it's been designed by ex-ATV engineer's. Currently with all the issues, it's just not ready for prime time But Dwe & Alesis was half baked at launch too.

hmm! Although; the Cymbals are great 👍. I’m still a Roland ekit guy. But; if their were a separate marketing packag📦 Geared towards Zildjian Cymbal set. Would be very great 😌

Genuine question. Why is zildjians and other e drum kit companies drum sets so expensive? The cheap e drums are like toys and the ones that actually feel close to real drums are like 6-10k

People always claim they have all this R&D overhead, engineers blah blah blah im not buying it. They have a lot of money tied up in marketing, sponsors and kickbacks. I also think people will keep these kits for many years and the company continues to send software updates with no subscription model, no continuous revenue stream. Guitar Center CEO says the market is small but they got the cash and/or credit to pay premium pricing so they are only gonna stock their stores in the future with premium gear. With these scenarios I can only deduce they have to get as much money upfront as possible.

Instead of innovating real drums for different and new musical qualities, corporations like DW and Zildjian make e-drums which dumb down the buyer. And shame on Steve for praising these non drum instruments. I guess he needs the money.
