It actually looks like they're expanding - they've hired a CEO, who will report directly to Rhett and Link, so I think that the defy office is just too small for both channels now

I think part of it is that Mythical is also growing and needs more space, along with Smosh. Sharing a building is great in theory, but not in practice when each group has so much going on lol

Since they seem to be making changes, I really hope Smoshcast comes back sometime soon as well. It was a really great platform for hearing about all the behind the scenes stuff and updates in general, and that would be really nice right now.

About halfway through the first question, I realized-- I've been there before! Not to that house, but I've visited Gulfport! The fact that there is a tree growing in that kitchen totally made sense, and I called it on that answer! It's DEFINITELY a hippie, artisanal kind of community: They have an artisan's market every single Tuesday, year round. I can't remember if their downtown was a bunch of houses that got turned into businesses, or if it was the other way around. Also I'm a swing dancer, so I was thrilled to see they have a thriving swing dance community, that meets up in the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. The casino was built in 1934, is right on the beach, and has always been used as an entertainment center for the community. And they have a live band! Also also, one of the guys I danced with was this quirky old hippie dude who gave me a knotted bracelet he made, and happens to just have a bunch left over from the stock of his retired business? Fun times!

They're expanding (hopes for tv, games, more merch etc.) New CEO will report directly to Rhett &Link. I believe they where suppose to move in fall of last year but that didn't happen for whatever reason. As to why they aren't filming in the GMM studio idk.

They're expanding. They hired a CEO in October, he'll report directly to Rhett&Link. They need a bigger studio. They're trying to expand beyond KZfaq. TV, better merch, games etc. So need a bigger studio. They where suppose to move into a stand alone studio in the fall of 2021, but I'm guessing the pandemic messed that up somehow or it fell through.
