Zimbabwe government gives cash to buy food

The Zimbabwe government says it's started distributing cash to almost two million hungry city dwellers to buy food. The government revealed last month that a total of 7.7 million people in both urban and rural areas are facing starvation due to the El Nino weather pattern in Southern Africa. The warming is causing drought and shrinking crops. eNCA correspondent Pindai Dube reports. Courtesy #DStv403

@@saamstaan6540 There is a drought, and the land that we took we are getting better at using it by the day, just like those who had stolen it from us. As a black person I understand why you are pissed we took the land back, however fail or success, it is our land, it is our heritage. Anyone feeling we should feel some type of way about that should ask themselves, would you rather have someone invade your home and make it look like you are living a great life while they are evil and treating you bad or have your home and be broke for a while as you fix yourself up. Surely it will take time, but we will get there, just let us breathe, we don't owe you anything.

I was in Zimnabwe on holiday in 1976 and I told everybody Zim (Rhodesia) was heaven on earth. Feel so sorry for the people that now its the opposite of Heaven.😢 Shame on the governement. I live in SA and financially support a Zimbabwean mother and her 2 daughters, since their Government is not able to do it. 😢

i was there just before the anti white nonsense as a kid. The hotel had an all you can eat buffet. There were many foreigners in suits doing business there. The hotel told us how they were busy building an arcade center and later were gonna add a go kart course. 2 years later an all you can eat became first to arrive gets to eat. Fun times

Remove sanctions and let's see if Zimbabwe won't thrive. Sanctions are the cause of all this because you can't operate independently, the economy is dependent. After even America and Britain all have programs which benefit the poor and unemployed, why then not commend the good things , this is not new especially in the rural areas it has ever been even before land distribution.
