I've met many Zimbabwean people over the last twelve years of living in Britain. If I could generalise, I'd say they typically are well educated, quiet but strong, principled, kind, diligent people who really hate how that man and his wife systematically destroyed their country with his racism. At least Mozambique and Botswana and a few other countries are now benefiting from an economic boost the farmers have brought.

It's unbelievable how the search for power, control and things so unimportant, silly issues (as white vs blacks, rich vs poor) affect hundreds people lives and it goes on making this kind of difference. It really upsets me it really upsets many people and makes others suffer

I don’t support or trust the BBC but unfortunately this is not propaganda it is irrevocably true every word in the worst sense of the word. I can’t go into detail due to certain security issues around myself and my family but this is true. That government did nothing for the people and yes she did kick out innocent people of all races off their properties even in suburbs. They all worked for and bought their properties fair and square. Now I have no idea about the lady in the video but it gets a lot worse than this. On top of that it’s a known fact that Grace is not a Zimbabwean. She was born and raised in South Africa. She didn’t have a degree until her husband bestowed one on her under circumstances which are currently under investigation and have seen innocent parties thrown under the bus.I’m not trying to promote xenophobia but if anyone is aware of how policies in the country changed and how many lives she’s ruined since she married Mugabe one has to wonder if she has any real attachment to her adoptive country or if she’s simply a destructive opportunist. I believe the latter applies here. Unfortunately Zimbabwe is not like some emphasis on some countries in the world where policy making remains relatively transparent. Around the time she showed up Mugabe had long discarded the constitution and the rights of the people so she played an active role in law making. 37 years of this government in power has created an entire lost generation. Please take a moment to stop and think about what they’ve done before we glorify self declared heroes. Either way the old man deserves a salute for what he did do for the country. But being married him does not make her worthy of a salute. She’s nothing more sadly than an opportunist with an average education given a rather devious mind. But please don’t insult the Zimbabwe that people struggled for and the real Zimbabweans by associating her actions with something good for Zimbabwe or Africa as a whole. Main point hopefully one day it will be out with the old and in with the new. Policy makers should be young people who actually have to live with the consequences of their policies. Not older generations who don’t give birth to children anymore and in the end use those same policies to plunder countries and oppress their own children and generations to come. That is the story of Zimbabwe.

It is sad that a lot of people watched this video and ONLY saw the BBC and white reporter while IGNORING the center piece of this video which is a fellow African woman is saying, she LOST her land to the wife of this monster. Until most of us in Africa and beyond can get pass the FEAR and WORSHIP of the powerful among us even in death, we will continue to bred monsters like Mugabe and his wife, not to forget the forget the current leader who replaced him. We can talk about the acts of INJUSTICE by fellow Africans while reminding those who EXPLOITED Africa of the legacy of their history. We can do both and one does not cancel the other. This video is about a fellow African woman whose life has been affected by the actions of a fellow African woman in a horrible way, just because she was the wife of horrible leader of his own people. Choosing to ignore this woman and her pains so we can talk about the BBC and colonial exploitation is not going stop the next Grace Mugabe across Africa. It will ensure there are more Grace Mugabes across Africa and that is not going to be the fault of the colonial powers, it is going to be our collective FAULT!

His policy is being a member of the Mugabe mafia family and shopping for Gucci with Grace Mugabe. Not rich but better off then the normal Zimbabweans (mugabe holds his dogs on an economic leash) his purpose is propaganda and to defend injustice and mobster methods. The black regular folks in Zimbabwe celebrated when he was gone and there will be even bigger parties when he dies . The police chief was booed as well . I do however not yet believe that Emerson is evil because he had a heart to overthrow the dictator , lets see what happens.

How far do you think we should go back in time to find out who owned the land ? 100 years, 500 years, ? That was then, this is NOW. It seems to me that Mugabe was an arrogant, and brutal bully. A dictator for all practical purposes. And to be honest from what I've heard about the new guy who will become the next president is that he aided and abetted Mugabe. No doubt things could improve a little bit, but I suspect the new guy will keep control of the country using the same methods that have been in place for the last thirty odd years. If things are relaxed, and true democracy is allowed and enabled it will trigger the interest of the muslims. They'll be in there like a shot. Sharia Law, Halal food and so on ........ So, one wouldn't know what the best options are ! Anyway, good luck to them in Zimbabwe, they'll need it.

Reply to Hillside86 I'm afraid you know much more than I do about ex servicemen in Zimbabwe The point I was trying to make was that how could one say, how could anyone be fair and honest, to be able to judge who owned the land, and who should own the land now. The Jews have had that same problem in the middle east for centuries. And look at the trouble that's caused, with no sign of it ever ending I was simply saying that how could anyone possibly know who is really entitled to own the land all those years ago, and even if you did know, what could you do about it, if the present occupants are not the true owners With regard to colonisation, The people alive now and in the recent past where I come from never went to Zimbabwe. We are not here to speak for or defend previous British Government policies. When did the British Government ever take any notice of the working class's opinions ? My brother in law fought at the battle of El Alamein, and he swore if he ever got back to England he'd stay there. He hated it. My own father fought in the trenches in Flanders. He was born in 1895. My own mother was in the blitz, dodging the bombs dropped from German aircraft My other brother in law was at Dunkirk with the Royal Navy. My uncle was on the Russian convoys to Murmansk during World War II dodging German Wolf Packs So, if you imagine for a second that ordinary people have had a super time going out and stealing other people's land then you need to know that the average Brit had no choice whatsoever. If he was conscripted into the army or navy, he was forced to obey orders, or be shot. Did anyone in the British Government ever down through the centuries consider the working class ? NO, NEVER. They were considered to be canon fodder. They were led forward into the German's machine guns. Tens of thousands died in a day. If they mutinied they were shot the next morning by firing squad. Some were only sixteen years old. Heartbreaking If that was done to my son, I'd never rest till I found the killer and dealt with him That was then, this is NOW. Today, Britain is lead by lousey inept politicians who do well to find their way back home of a night, never mind going to colonise a far off land. They have all attended the same universities and have the same ideas. Nothing new there. What does the future hold ......... God knows. Maybe Goldman Sachs has a crystal ball. Goldman Sachs seems to be running everything everywhere these days But what does surprise me is that Mugabe has lasted 37 years. Zimbabweans are tough looking characters. I'm only guessing, but I'd be very surprised if there wasn't more than a few failed assassination attempts over the years, that have never been revealed to the public How on earth he stayed in power when his government was issuing trillion dollar bank notes I'll never know Enough Kind regards and good luck - Chris Newton - Writer, Artist & Hypnotist - WWW.100Temptations.com/forum

@@RichardKing4U if you can use the land and defend it then it's yours. If someone can take it from you, and you can't stop them, then you don't own it. That's African law.

That's because Africa is bad. And regardless of "Babylon system" misdeeds, Mugabe is the face of plenty things wrong with post-colonial Africa including the leadership. And people like you excusing him isn't helping Africa move forward just because you have some personal, albeit legitimate, beef with the former colonizers.

Zimbabwe needs to be a lot more smarter. British still has some form of influence over Zimbabwe. Please be careful who you are dealing with... it’s still seen as a British colony, this is why Bbc loves to create propaganda, Zimbabwe will always be in spot light (by bbc) cause of British interest.

True, but Mugabe was always a lot more interested in Britain (like obsessed) than Britain ever was with Zimbabwe. I think the main concern is for the white farmers because they are English, unlike the South African Boers whom Britain has never liked.

This is a paid actor. Probably the theatre is somewhere else not Zimbabwe. Mugabe would not allow his wife to do that to a fellow African.

Too bad that idea was what led to food shortages, famines and Zimbabwe being no longer able to feed itself. Taking land from those who knew how to farm and giving those who did not like the fellow African in the video.

actally, you might be able to if u demonstrate the skills. i know a lot f countries grant land to skilled farmers. or you could get a loan and buy it (since banks respect the rule of law and private poperty rights in those countries - in zimbabwe they won't give u a loan cause it can be seized at any time).
