CRASHING my DJI Mavic 3 Classic while chasing Northern Lights in Lapland // Zimy Da Kid X DJI

Күн бұрын@DJI recently asked me to test their latest drone: the DJI Mavic 3 Classic so I decided to take it with me to Lapland, Finland to test it in extremely cold conditions while also looking for Northern Lights !
After only a few days there, I crashed the drone and had to find a way to fix it in order to be able to film everything we needed to...
In this Cinematic VLOG, I'll take you along with me on this epic adventure in the Arctic Circle, showing you how I repaired the drone on my own and giving you tips on how to shoot the Northern Lights !

You must have had it in sports mode is why it didn't avoid hitting that little tree. Always bring backup props! Especially on an adventure like that. You video looks beautiful. Love the snow and treesThe footage is amazing! I am loving my Mavic 3 Classic! I I flew near Spooner Lake just outside prohibited air space in Lake Tahoe, Ca. Rangers love to protect the wild life I guess?

Hey Zimy! Great footage a pictures from Lappland and the Nothern lighs! Glad the cable tie repair worked well 😃 I have now bought the Nauticam underwater housing for my Sony A7C. If you ever have time to make a video about the Sony underwater settings, that would be great. I wish you continued great light for your future projects! Best wishes from Central-Switzerland, Martin

Your videos are amazing oO I would love to go on this kind of expedition with you 😁 Just a little comment from my electronic background, if you think a piece of electronic got wet, the first thing to do is to turn it off and to take the battery out, because even if it still seems to work, but the water keeps moving inside and might create shortcuts... Especially if you blow in it 😬 shortcuts are a problem only if the current is running through, no current = no problem, just dry it before turning it on again ;) PS: Oups, je vois que t'es un aussi un "fellow" cocorico 😁 J'aurais pus écrire en Francais 😅

hey man ! it depends. Sometimes when I'm talking to the camera it's Sony A7SIII with a boom mic and sometimes I also use the DJI Action 3 especially for the POV shots I just hold it in my mouth

It does. The reason I crashed is because I always turn them off so it has nothing to do with the drone’s ability to detect obstacles…
