Thank you for sharing the video. I have a question. Does the plant die eventually? Is there any way to retain the same plant forever? As its difficult to grow them over and over through seeds. Let me know what you think.

Zinnias are an annual plant, sensitive to frost and therefore will die after the first frost of autumn.

what's the frequency of watering ? (mine are exposed to sun so I water them everyday)

I watered every morning. Don't overwater because zinnias can also succumb to rot diseases especially on wet, clay soils. Once established, zinnias a relatively drought tolerant.

Surely it died early though because the flowers were let go to seed? it would continue to grow if the flowers were pinched off

Yes, this is a lil over crowded. “Plant zinnia seeds in small containers and then transplant or put the seeds directly in the ground. To plant in containers, evenly space about six seeds in a 4-inch (10cm) pot.”
