Curious if you all would like a video comparing just the Auteur Classic and the Atrium? I touched on this during the video, but I can go a bit more in depth if that is something worth while? Let me know!

I would love that. I'm curious how similar they are to each other with the Atrium dampening system now being in the Auteur Classic? AC has a really nice overall balanced sound signature and Bass presentation. A good all rounder

I just got a stabilized Auteur Classic and it's excellent. I sold my Verite Closed because I like the Auteur Classic more

@@johnratcliffe6438 I had a LTD Camphor Burl VC. It was $2700. My Autuer Classic was $1900. In the end it's all subjective. Don't let price influence anything when buying Gear or Headphones. I recently got the Gustard R26 R2R DAC for $1400 and it's as good or better than DACS costing $3k

My God.. all of the ZMF headphones seem to be great and that doesn't make it easier to choose one. Living in Europe is such a bummer because of customs fees and taxes and such. I would have to pay 3k for the Atrium so the Auteur classic and the Aeolus sure seem like good options.. but heck no idea which one I want.

Great review! I just have one question, why do you think Auteur Classic is better for gaming than all the others? If the Classic is like a baby Atrium, shouldn't the atrium be just as good, if not better at gaming than the Classic? What makes Classic the best you've heard for gaming? (Better bass? Better soundstage? More fun signature?) Between Atrium and Classic for gaming only (Not competitive, just for immersion and fun) which would be the better choice and why? I'm just trying to understand which of these two would be better for gaming immersion. Keep up the good work, it's always nice to have a new audio reviewer that includes games in the review! Note: Your videos are getting better and better (Reminds me of Joshua Valour)! Keep it up! Makes everything more enjoyable to watch!

First of all, I really appreciate the kind words! As for why gaming with the AC, I think for me it comes down to the mid forwardness. It lends to just that more in your face experience but not in a shouty or too loud type situation. You're right in that both ZMFs are great for it, I just found the AC more exciting in that scenario, at least for what I was playing.

Would you say the Atrium is more resolving, more detailed vs the Auteur Classic? I am in love with my Verite Closed I received a few days ago, and am definitely trying an open back ZMF in the near future. Just not sure which one. I'm prioritizing detail and resolve over sound stage and imaging.

Absolutely yes on both counts. It does help me at least justify a step up in price that it is over the AC.

Great review! But btw the first vowel in "auteur" is pronounced 'oh' instead of 'ah'. ZMF lists it as [ō∙tuhr]
