Regarding portability, using the balanced 4.4mm on my Cayin RU7 dongle and iPhone the Bokeh gets uncomfortably loud in the mid 50s out of 72 and sounds amazing…..I think on that HIby if you were using the SE it’s pretty anemic (105mW?!). I agree with the comparison to Focal Radiance, pretty similar sound (high praise) but you can’t even find used Radiances, they don’t make new ones anymore, and you’d also have to walk around with plastic cups and a cheesy Bentley sticker on the side, so no comparison really. These headphones are incredible, looking forward to your review of the Atrium Closed, the recent stabilized drop was pornographic. Your reviews are always informative and honest, thanks for doing the work.

Your description of Bokeh's sound is also how I would describe the ZMF Atticus (Ori Suede pads). Great all-round and nothing lacking at all.

I could roll 3-4 pads on this quite easily. It is more difficult than other ZMFs but not so bad.

I LOVE ZMF ❤🎶 but I agree about the pad rolling nightmare 😅

Nice Review Wave. Those look heavy. You can hit those type wood cups with Beeswax to protect them and give them a nice shine. You should check out the JM Audio Headphones. The owner John is a wizard with HP tunings. I bet he'd send you some HP's to review if you contacted him

Great review:) will it work Nicole with Mojo 2? Looking for closed back headphones with more warm, nice bass, something like a bit darker side od sound. Will Bokeh be a nice improvement competitor for Meze Liric but the first generation?

Honestly they sound the best directly from the headphone jack of the newer MacBook pros. Like surprisingly good. Ru7 dongle is decent too, but still preferred directly from the Mac. You don't need a lot of power to drive these, they actually sound overbearing like on a MJ3, Jotenheim 2, or the GSX Mini. Vali 2 is fun , (low gain), but takes away the finer finesse of the Boca.

Same price as I paid for the HiFiMan HE1000se currently passing through local customs as I type this. 😮

Comparison to the Liric 2. Have and love the Bokeh but interested in Liric 2 for portability and drivability. Is it really an upgrade beyond more flexible ergonomics?

I'll never buy another Focal after my experience with the Focal Clear OG. That thing popped like crazy right out of the box. And Headphones d0t c0m where I bought it said it couldn't be returned because that's normal. Never again Focal. 👎

Pad rolling ZMF is easier than Hifiman, Senn, Focal, Fostex, etc. Not sure why you struggle with it haha

More bass that close to the ears means accelerated hearing loss!
