The ultimate challenge in Gran Turismo 5.
Which are the fastest cars in the Game?

For this test i used the following settings for all cars:
- Max. Tuning
- Max Aerodynamic
- Adapted Gear Box
- Standart Suspension
- Soft Tires
Track: Suzuka Circuit (5807m)
Final Result:
1. Red Bull X2010: 0.59,147
2. Ferrari F2007: 1.24,944
3. Ferrari F2010: 1.25,374
4. Formula GT: 1.25,801
5. Toyota Minolta: 1.37,700
Cars i tested but didn´t make it into the final five:
Sauber C9, Peugeot, Audi R10, Audi R8 Race Car, Bentley Speed 8, Toyota GT One.
Settings:
Transmission - Manual
Driving Line - Off
Traction Control - Off
Skid Recovery Force - Off
Active Steering - Off
ASM - Off
ABS - 1

The scary thing is the Red Bull X1 could actually exist. Free valve technology gives you 30% more power than DOHC, so 1500hp wouldn't be that difficult from a reasonably sized engine. The weight isn't far off what a lot of track cars can do. All you would need is a fan.

i've seen legal road cars producing more than 1500hp. the X1 would be pretty much impossible to drive at high speeds since the normal human body couldn't handle the high G forces.

@@kls_cw in the gt5 video, when u go to the sebastian vettel challenge in special events, he says its impossible to drive those cars since the g force is so high that could kill anyone that drives it, so idk how f1's could be replaced by redbull's

Like i said before. I didn´t use realistic setups for this test. Tires are supersticky and won´t last more than 2 laps in reality. By the way real F1 cars are also slowed down by the regulations of the FIA. If u want to see a realistic comparison watch my video "GT5 vs. REALITY" with the Nissan GTR.

It´s the X2010. look at the date, i uploaded this video on 23.01.2011. The download package including the X2011 was released on 28.10.2011 ;)

I don´t need the setup ;) As u see in the description i used the same setup which is almost default on all cars. If u reached your time with Skid Recovery Force on its worth nothing. If u didn´t use it the time is quite good. ;) I testet the Nissan and it was between 0,5-1 sec slower than the Minolta.

No it´s the X2010. I uploaded this video on 23.01.2011 the X2011 was released on 18.10.2011 so 9 months after i made the video. ;) Of course the X2011 is faster than the X2010 and would be 1st place on a new ranking.

Hi DraconianLustmord, i think u didn´t get it what i wanted to show with my video. It´s not about the fastest cars in matters of topspeed. It´s about the fastest laptimes around a Racetrack. I didn´t want to fake the result because of the setup, so i used the same on every car which is close to standart.

There's now been an update which lets you view standard cars from the cockpit- although the cockpit is a silhouette only- and the formula gran turismo has been given a proper cockpit like the ones you find in premium cars.

@pimpgordito I am not here to debate if Forza is better than GT or vice versa (and I have both myself). I am talking about X2010 in particular. What was shown is absolutely possible because of the nature of the car itself. It was designed by Adrian Newey himself and is meant to showcase what a F1 car without regulation could end up looking like & how it may perform. Whether the drivers would be able to sustain the G forces lap after lap is another matter.

Well, i'd recommend the Toyota Minolta Race Car 88-V, it can be won after you win gold in the "like the wind" extreme A-spec race (lvl21), I tuned mine to 1045bhp and it weighs 850kg, but if you're not that far into the game i'd suggest the Mazda Furai '08, you unlock it when you win gold in the NR-A Roadster Cup B-spec race (lvl 6). The Furai can be tuned to over 500bhp and weighs only 675kg.

no safety regulations on the x2010, meaning it can have way more downforce than f1 cars plus it has a fan to suck it to the ground allowing the tires to maintain grip at immense speed. the thing people should really question is what exactly those tires are made of, and how they are able to stick to the wheels in those +300km/h corners.. also, i bet that even a full carbon fibre body reaches it's limits at sustained driving like this.

Adrian Newey said that X2010's cornering speed would be 8,25 G. It was around 15 to 20 G.

+Saima Kashif Only if we check the second part of the first corner: F1 cars completes it around 150-160 km/h with 3.5 G X2010 completes it with 370 km/h, it's 2.3 times faster 2.3^2=5.29 3.5 G*5.29=18.5 G GT5 is not perfect, other car's cornering speed are also too high.

It's aerodynamics. It's designed by the current best Formula 1 designer - Adrian Newey - who also designs the current championship-winning Red Bull F1 car.

you do NOT want to do max aerodynamics on the redbull x2010 or x2011 because it will create so much downforce it will slow the car down approximately 20-40 km/h. a setting of around 80/100 front/back is perfect for maximum speed.

I have 1 2010 proto, 2 2010's in red bull liveries and one 2010 in pink (IKR it's weird that they gave me that one 0.o out of all the colours). They are easy to drive around every circuit, if you practice. I can do any circuit with a fast time, no crashing and a lead foot.

It´s unrealistic because of the settings i use in the game to achieve the best laptime. R3 tires are much softer than those in Formula 1 and dont have tire wear. I also increased the downforce very much. Apart from the settings in GT5 real F1 cars also could go much faster without regulations of the FIA. On hard tires and standart downforce the times in game are quite close to reality.

It is a fan car, so it uses the fan that you can see on the back of the car to suck air out from under the car to give it added down force, which means that it can brake later and go through corners faster. That said, it could not go that fast in real life.

Yeah,i've beaten 370 km/h with peugeot in Nationale monza,but for my surprise,Minolta beaten 373 km/h on the same track,now i'm doubting,but i'll still telling you all that this ranking is true and 100% tested by me

@LeoBruno1000 Because Suzuka has a good layout to compare cars in every situation. You have slow and highspeed corners and long straights. A car needs a balanced package of topspeed and grip to do a good time. Its long enough to so differences but still short enough to do a propper lap without big mistakes which fake the result.

It´s not only the power limit. There are many rules for building an F1 car and they change every year. A lot of improvements only last for one season until they were banned. Like the diffusor and many other things. Also the Pirelli tires aren´t good as the ones before but they make races more interesting. F1 nowadays is just for entertainment. If there were less rules, i think the F1 cars would be much closer to the X2010 than they are now.

Traction control is on by default. If you disable it then you will get wheel spin.

And Circuit de La Sarthe and Le Mans are one and the same. (You see, Circuit de La Sarthe is near Le Mans, in France. That's why some people call it Le Mans. The same reason why some people call Côte de Azur circuit, Monaco)
